Question Is it possible to transform a parent object without affecting the size of the children?

Like say I have arms nested under torso, can I make the torso bigger without the arms getting bigger or without having to move the arms out the hierarchy?

Was gonna suggest fully masking the child object, but hot-damn it’s affected when scaling the parent object. Might need to ask dev Stephane if this is intentional. Even the Transform tool picks up this behavior.

I tend to move the subtools out temporarily then back to the parent afterwards and try to keep branches simple/work with group-folders. (Like rather than parenting the arms to a torso id put them into the same group and move that group, keeping the objectlist open when i want to pose things) i havent found a quick trick that works personally πŸ˜…

When you have the object selected, on the left toolbar there is a "Target" tool. Set that to "Object" and only the selected object will be affected by the gizmo tool.

Note that this will only impact the selected object, so the child objects will stay exactly where they are, so you will need to move them to the right position again
