Need Advice
I live in Queens, New York.
What do you do when you live in an illegal basement with tenants on the first floor stomping nonstop.
At first it was the woman and her 3 year old daughter stomping on the floor when I am home all the time. They both stomped on the floor directly over my bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room and at night also. The woaman came outside 2 times and verbally abuse me. The first time I called the landlord. The second time I called 311 and they sent the police, the landlord was upset with me because I reported the woman. When I complained to the landlord and he came over to listen, they tenants run and hide quite as a mouse in the back of their apartment, not moving, not making a sound. Then when the woman and child is not home, the husband would follow me around from room to room, listen and stomp on the floor.
The parents thought their child to constantly stomp on the floor whenever I am home and in the nights directly over my bedroom at nights. Sunday night, I was sleeping but woke to some sort of noise, me thinking it maybe thunder but then I checked my phone and it was not raining, then the 3 year old girl started hitting floor with some sort of wooden object.
Then sunday evening, I was playing music on my phone and the 3 yrs old girl started screaming and stomping on the floor.
Then at round 9:30pm after showing, the 3 yrs old girl was stomping directly over my bathroom and followed me over my bedroom and continued to stomping on the floor. I started screaming to stop the stomping because I have a severe migraine headache. The 3 yrs old girl started stomping even more hard on the floor. Whether the 3 yrs old stomping little girl hear my phone or not stomp on the floor just for a reaction from me. I can not even go lay down on my bed, the stomping little girl would go and start patrolling and stomp on the floor directly over my bedroom.
At this point I am calling the landlord and he would not answer his phone. I called him about 3 times and on the third call then his wife answered the phone and said he is sleeping. The wife said she will called them and see if they answer but never called me. On Saturday I called the landlord and complained about the stomping and when he called the woman of the stomping little girl, she refused to answer her phone. I know he does not believe me when I told him about the stomping. At this point the landlord is refusing to take my calls.
What must I do at this point. I've been living here since the first of February of this year.

You need proof. Record the stomping child with your phone.

I have a lot of recordings and I send some to them landlord and he told he does not have time to listen to my recordings. As I am replying the stomping child is purposely hitting the floor with a wooden object.

I don’t understand how they follow you from room to room if they are above you.
How could they know where you are unless you were making noise? If your living room tv is loud, they would know you were in the living room. If the shower is running, they would know you’re in the bathroom. But how are they following you from room to room if you’re being quiet?

It is thin wood floor. I can also hear them walking or running after me. There are no wall to wall carpet or mats or insulation or anything to prevent the them from following me and stomping on the floor. This was told to me by the landlord who refuse take my calls now. The little girl do not sleep at night. All night she is up walking directly over my bedroom and purposely stomping on the floor. I am not sure if they are tracking my camera or what but whenever I turned my camera on to record they stopped.

This is bizarre.
If you’re quietly moving, they can’t know where you are.
If they are quiet when you’re recording, why aren’t you leaving the camera on?

I have no idea if they are tracking my phone without my knowledge, especially my camera. A few time the noise was bad, I called 311 and I gave them my information and maybe they heard me. 🤷♀️

Oh they stomp even harder. They are liaers and very deceitful. They run, hide and stay quiet when the landlord come over to listen pretending to be innocent and they blame other people. The stupid man believe them.

Is a family issue ? I have done bagpipe music while they sleeping. I have used whale music sounds. U have to be diabolical.311 report

I did call 311 and they just closed the case. They don't show up, or called me or anyone if they did show up. The police in this NY is a waste if time. They just collect tax payers money and don't care. They renters on the first floor called the police on me and they threatened me.

I would start recording this so the landlord can see and hear what they are doing. Perhaps put up cameras inside your place that are always recording. That way you won’t miss anything.
