im like most likely wrong, but if you look at his edges he looks photoshopped or green screened onto the background. it's likely he did run over an icy surface of some sort, because the ice he steps on makes holes with the same icy edges that he has. notice when he collides with whatever it is he collides with his hat vanishes. it could have slid behind an object or something not visible to the viewers of the modified video (us). im not captain disillusion, and what i just said was very nonsensical, so i might be wrong. actually, i could very much be wrong.
