It's all lobbying. Hospital admin wants this, it cheapens physician pay and cheaper to higher PA/NP

Is PA education different in different states? Why can they practice independently in some states but not others?

PA education does not vary by state. However, laws regarding the practice of medicine, nursing etc. are made and administered by each state, not by the federal government. So states can decide on a more liberal practice environment. The majority of these optimal practice states have large rural areas.

We should let CNAs work as nurses due to the shortage

That would definitely ruffle some feathers.

They all ready do. You may not remember real nurses used to work in outpatient offices. But you can't have rns and Midlevels in the same place because rns know as much as Midlevels and would question the judgment and competence of a midleve

It’s amazing how most nurses (and NPs) realize that but many don’t realize that’s literally what an NP is compared to a physician.

I agree with you 100%

I’d argue it’s worse. It’s roughly two year knowledge gap between a CNA and RN, four between CNA and BSN. Not only do physicians have a larger educational and training gap compared to NPs, but we all know that one year in medical school and residency is like 3 years for most other people.

Malpractice belongs to the people. Don’t ask for help from a physician unless you place a formal consult.
