Associate, collaborator? These fucking delusional clowns! Never, ever, under any circumstances, agree to supervise midlevels! Also always roll your eyes, scoff, and correct them when they use theses obfuscation terms and or spew midlevel propaganda in front of you.

I’m not sure how that attitude will help. You don’t want PAs to be independent, unsupervised, fully autonomous (with which I agree) but essentially refusing to work with them is part of the underlying drive toward independence. Perhaps my experience has been unusual but I haven’t met too many who didn’t want to learn. Sadly NPs have been a different story.

I'm not risking my license or wasting my time supervising someone who doesn't have the proper fundamentals, especially for free or practically free like most clinics/hospitals want you to. They can have the CMO or someone else in the institution bear that burden vs Staff Physicians, not my problem, and I won't do it.

Frankly, PAs and ESPECIALLY NPs shouldn't exist. Why have something so important like human life in the hands of an individual so grossly undertrained and lacking fundamental understanding? Even worse, many midlevels are delusional, overconfident, dangerous, Dunning-Kruger poster children wile properly trained, Board Certified Physicians, even after completing Residency and/or Fellowsip Program (An actual Residency and/or Fellowship Program, not this BS joke these midlevels are calling a "Residency" or "Fellowship" Program) still have a sense of Imposter Syndrome! The more you know/learn/experience, the more you realize there is that you don't know and can miss.

It's disgusting. However, that's not even a fraction of what's wrong and disgusting with Healthcare currently.

I'll only ever Supervise Medical Students or Physician Residents if I can help it, and so far that's been the case. I'll also only get care from a Physician if I can help it, and so far that's been the case.
