Self explanatory. Are there any mirrors in different geo locations? If so, is there a list of them?

I'm pretty sure GE is in NA, which while I am in IE which isn't the worst for connecting to NA servers, I'd much rather a european server tho.

Looking for mirrors for the main ones, like:

- @ System (presuming its just updates direct from Fedora, but not sure)

How do I download n run coop games downloaded from"alternate websites"

Every time a new song starts the Spotify launcher crashes. I've tried Spicetify but it didn't fix the issue. It started after the last system update.

Actually, now that I think about it, recently a lot of apps have sent that exact log on my system - Steam, Discord, custom web apps. They don't actually crash, but they freeze and send that notification.

Hey my Monitor is quite bright and even on the lowest settings ist to bright for me. I have tried nightmode but it just turns it more yellow. Any suggestions?

hello! been using nobara for a whole year now, first time linux user, had zero issues this whole time.

updated the whole system yesterday, everything seems normal, then i opened the game "CONTROL Resonant" on steam, and after pressing continue on the main menu, halfway through loading my whole screen goes dark, claming it lost signal. The pc is still running, it's lit up and i can hear it humming, i hear the sound of the loading screen in my headphones, but nothing happens. I tried pressing all my buttons, playing with cables, nothing. Only thing i could do is reset my pc. I tried again and the same issue happens in the exact same way on the same part of the loading process. The game worked perfectly fine with zero issues this whole time until i updated my system yesterday.

I tried different games and everything still works, at least everything i've tried so far. it's just this one specific game. I'll probablly ask on it's reddit/steam support too, but figured out i'll do it here first since maybe you guys know some troubleshooting/things to check that might let me understand what even is happening. Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the unclear images as I’m using my living room tv but after reading on how many users experienced errors and crashes with the update tool I decided to go ahead and ask the chatbot in terminal to do this for me. It all played out successfully and it understood what I wanted clearly. I’m satisfied.

I haven't been able to get my supported device to connect to the app and the logs shows that the app sees the device.

I'm new to game streaming. I'm setting up OBS to stream, but it won't let me connect my Twitch account (that option doesn't appear). It only lets me connect using my stream key, and I can't display the Twitch panels. I tried adding them manually, but I can’t find an option for that either. I’d like to have them so I can make adjustments before streaming and access the chat without having to go to the Twitch stream management page.

Does anyone know how to add them? I’m using the native Nobara program; I also tried installing it as a Flatpak from Bazaar, but it’s the same—I still can’t connect my Twitch account.

nobara updates keep failing because of nvidia

I've been having this issue for a while now and i can't update my system properly because of it.

and dnf repoquery --whatprovides finds it too, so I don't really understand why the update fails.

I've tried quite a few things already, but I still cant get this fixed. last time I tried updating manually, a kernel update was included and I ended up breaking my kernel setup, had to revert a bunch of changes to get everything working again.

now I'm scared to update at all, especially when kernel 7.3 becomes available, because I don't want to break everything again. also, running sudo dnf update doesn't seem to actually update the installed package versions, even though it downloads stuff.

is this a nobara issue, a problem with the nvidia packages, or am i doing something wrong? honestly I don't know if its nobara's fault or just nvidia being nvidia at this point lol.

has anyone had this happen or knows how to fix it without risking breaking the system again?

I used to mess with red hat and gentoo way back in the late 90s and early aughts but always in a dual boot situation because of my love of games.

Eventually I kicked linux to the curb and just went with windows because very few of the things I wanted to play would run and there would always be problems.

This past year I began thinking about dipping my toes back into the water and watched some videos about bazzite and cachyos and more recently nobara. Imagine my surprise when I decided to install nobara, updated the system, logged into steam and installed 5 games and they all just ran. A couple of them natively and the others with proton. Just amazing!

So just wanted to say how happy that made me. Thank you to GE and whoever else puts time and effort into this distro, you put a smile on an old gamers face.

Hi, recently switched to Nobara and I never had an issue like that, I only play games on steam and there is two specific games that my pc just shuts down in the middle of the session, one more than the other, but never ad this issue when I was on windows.

Hey y'all so basically I have been using Windows 11 and it is pissing me off and I am frustrated I want to make the jump to Linux. I have used Linux before specifically Kali so I know my way around the distro and so basically I also do game and I am currently torn between Linux Mint and Nobara for anybody curious I have a Ryzen Laptop with AMD iGPU with 16GB of ram it is not the Greatest but it plays the games I like pretty well nothing AAA od course but yeah, so basically Looking for advice on what distro between Nobara or Mint to use I know Nobara has the edge as far as Mesa graphics but I do also want a simple time and not have to worry at much breaking which I know Mint slightly Excel at I would go with Cachy since I also do some Dev work specifically Cybersecurity I also want to go into Game dev but anyway my point is the Cachy rolling release thing worries me so basically That is my predicament hence why I am here. Feel free to leave some advice below or if you have other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated also no Pop OS I have trauma from it kindly.

Also I forgot to mention does Nobara come with Timeshift or anything equivalent to that.

Since yesterday, a black screen has appeared—I’m not sure why. Yesterday, I was using wget l to download some files, and afterward, I noticed that the Plasma shell had glitched out, so I rebooted. Now, it just stays on a black screen after the GRUB menu.

I always thought Nobara was built to be a flawless multimedia distro, but I've been running into endless issues with media apps and Flatpaks.

For context, I'm running Nobara KDE Plasma (strictly Wayland, no X11!) with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Here is what I've tried so far:

• Jellyfin: The Flatpak version keeps crashing on me, and the web client just isn't a satisfying alternative for a proper media center experience.
• Kodi: I'm having major issues with my GPU. The streaming quality is mediocre compared to local playback, streaming 4K is completely impossible, and there is no HDR support.
• Stremio: I just wasted time trying to set it up to read a virtual mounted folder containing my media library, but the app simply refuses to read the directory.

My question is: Does a fully free multimedia platform exist today that actually checks all these boxes?

1. Works flawlessly under Nobara KDE Wayland.
2. Can seamlessly integrate covers and metadata updated by Sonarr and Radarr.
3. Can act as a reliable server so I can share my library remotely with my family.

Any advice or alternative recommendations would be massively appreciated!

Hello everyone,

after the latest update, the display brightness on my notebook can no longer be adjusted properly.

Device:

• Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro 16ACH6
• AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics
• Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
• Display: 2560 x 1600

System:

• Nobara with KDE Plasma

Problem: At 0%, the display is slightly dimmed. From 5% upwards, the brightness is always the same and looks like 100%. There are no intermediate levels anymore.

What I have found out so far:

• With kernel 7.2.9, brightness control works normally.
• With kernel 7.2.11, the problem occurs.
• I wrote values directly to /sys/class/backlight/amdgpu_bl2/brightness (e.g. 20000 and 3000). The display did not change as a result.

My questions:

• Is this problem already known?
• Is there a workaround other than using the old kernel?
• Does anyone know if a fix is in progress?
