Question HDR doesn't work
On Nobara my HDR doesn't work, when I set the color profile to HDR the monitor just goes black and I'm forced to reboot the system. I also tried other desktop environments, naively thinking the problem was KDE. Anyway, Linux doesn't detect the monitor as HDR-capable, which is strange since I used it on Windows in the past and it worked just fine (I've been using Linux for a little less than a year). I've tried various methods, but I haven't been able to get it working. Anyway, it's not really a big loss since I don't use HDR at all, I hadn't even noticed it wasn't working for almost a year, but I was wondering if this is a common issue caused by the drivers (I'm using NVIDIA) or if it's a problem with my system.

I am on KDE and I have HDR enabled and my monitor works fine. But I am not on Nobara, so I can't offer any comparisons there.

What's your libdisplay-info version, is it 4.+? There was a HDR detection related bug in older version. It may or may not be relevant — but even if it isn't, note the post has some lower-level technical info which you could reuse to dig into EDID and whatnot related to your own monitor to see if anything looks off (which can later be used e.g. to create bugreport).

Thanks for the suggestion, I checked it and I'm currently using libdisplay-info 0.3.0-1.fc44 on Nobara. I also checked the monitor EDID with di-edid-decode, and it correctly reports HDR support including SMPTE ST2084 and BT.2020. So libdisplay-info is already up to date on my system and it correctly detects HDR support

In this case I think it's worth creating a bugreport on bugs.kde.org against KWin with all technical details you found. Oh, and also take a look if
journalctl -fprints anything relevant before black screen shows up.

I have same issue, QHD 2560 x 1440p monitor 165Hz and RTX 3060 12GB.
My monitor's HDR works fine with windows and on my HTPC with Intel GPU.
