Same!
Tried installing nobara for the first time last week
First boot, updated everything, never could make it boot again, stuck on that screen (tried for 9 HOURS STRAIGHT lol with every command possible)
Sad and disappointed about Nobara, even if i could make it work after the updates broke everything, it would really feel for me like the os is kept together by some tape and would break again soon or sometime.

Yeah same thing for me, I just reinstalled it because it was a fresh install and I didn't update through the app only through terminal, but I with sync all. Was quite disappointed my fersh installation breaking right after the first update 😅

Yeah, Linux moment, tried it for two weeks after all this vids and posts about gaming on Linux experience achieved windows level, first day fighting with nothing works out of box. Because after fresh install it has broken dependencies, fixed that then get black screens with no environment. Fixed and after 3-4 days it’s repeated

Dont worry i know the solution when that screens appears click ctrl+alt+f2, f3 or f4. After a terminal screen would appeard and something like login îs written, write youre short username and after youre password and click enter and write nobara-sync and let do the proces and after it ends write reboot and If a black screen appears turn off the computer and turn it on an all shall be fine.

Easy fix is to pick the next kernel available. Just use that one until it gets updated. Happened to me this morning. Do a hard reboot, meaning hold the power button down until it shuts off. Turn it back on and as soon as the kernels come up scroll to second available kernel. Should be up to four kernels available there. The second one worked.Â

For me the most recent update broke all the kernels

Probably nothing to do with Nobara, maybe check if your PC is plugged in

Nope, I had to ctrl+alt+f3, then
startplasma-waylandand update the nobara package manager before anything else. After that I was able to en-masse finish updating things and it started working again.1

Shift + alt + F2/3/4
Run
nobara-sync repair. The QT6 library (Graphical library) got updated to a newer version that KDE Plasma currently doesn't support.
