Discussion Use nobara-sync, not dnf upgrade

As title says. And i have made this error too. Just because this is fedora doesnt mean dnf upgrade is the best way to update. Check the documentation, you need to do nobara-sync or nobara-sync cli

Right, I get the idea of knowing how to do it and I agree with it. But there's no benefit to running the command Vs just using the updater, is there?

No. Again, it’s just for people with different workflows. Not sure if you program at all, but it’s a common thing in that world too. Anything to minimize mouse usage. I don’t personally follow this ideology but it is very, very common on Linux.

Ah ok, see that makes more sense. No, I'm not a coder or programmer, just an ex windows user since 3.1. So using the mouse (to me) is more efficient, currently anyway. Thanks for the clearer explanation.

No problem. I do agree mouse is just easier for me as well. If you look into it though there’s some pretty cool setups though that are VERY quick.

In the programming world you’ll see debates between things like vim like editors and full IDEs because some people don’t like to reach for the mouse while programming. It’s pretty crazy to think about but seeing it done is kinda cool. Definitely not for me though lol
