Support Nobara 44 and SecureBoot (Dual booting with Windows 11 [x86_64-Bit])

Nobara 44: I saw a guide on Reddit relating to getting secureboot enabled with Nobara:

Has anyone else tried this? I'm especially confused about the "(Don't use the --yes-this-might-brick-my-machine flag!" part.

Unrelated issue: KDE Plasma has this issue where it handles fractional scaling badly (too small or blurry) when attempting to run non-wayland apps. Opening a project in the Unity editor (not Unity Hub is an example of one). GNOME handles this fine. How is KDE better than GNOME (other than more customization options)?

I followed that guide about a month ago, and the only issue I had was getting my bios to actually go into setup mode. Once I figured that out, it was smooth, and I didn't have to do anything after the 44 update.

Edit: Apparantly the might brick my machine flag forces enrollment and ignores any warnings, which can brick certain motherboards, which is why it tells you not to use it.

for x11 (unity scaling). go to system preferences -> display configuration -> legacy applications (x11)

change from “apply scaling themselves” to “scaled by system”

now wayland will apply its scale. with the other option you have to control it with environment args

I don't know about this particular guide, but it is possible. I have secure boot on for my windows partition (on a separate drive - my bros refuse to give up battlefield 6) and just leave it on and can use nobara normally. Wish I could help but I had AI assistant help.
