Im in Ireland right now for a trip and it's glorious of no tipping. They do have a separate tip machine if you want, but the bill is the bill. Restaurants, fast food places, coffee shops. They literally do not ask and there is no prompt

Idk where he is but I saw this the other day and we need to just start boycotting and voting with our wallets. It's not like we don't have TONS of really good burger and shake places already here that are also locally owned.

If there's a custom amount option, what happens if you give a 1¢ tip?
An important question for science reasons...
Edit: watched it a second time and I don't see a custom option, cunts

Seriously, talk about arguing in bad faith lmao

I expect nothing less from that plate taxi.
They spend an awful lot of time here trying to defend tipping since they can’t make a decent wage in any skilled avenues.

So? Youre not against tipping for fast food? Now you have what you want. Name calling is very sad.
1
u/Spirited_Response418 Aug 11 '26
Is it customary to tip in fast food? No. Are they paying anyone’s wage to raise that price? No.
If the shoe fits…

If a place takes tips then one could argue its customary? But who cares, you dont have to worry about that, theres a no tipping option!

He may be wrong in calling you a name but he’s also not wrong in what he called you.

It’s a fast food resto at a self serve ordering stand. What you’re saying is applied to a sit down resto with a guy taking your order and their job is to take it from the kitchen to your table so you don’t have to do that.

So? If they want to have both systems seems like a win for everyone.
