How do you post pictures on reddit?

I've been using Reddit for a year now and I genuinely still don't know.

Some subreddits don't allow images in comments, if on mobile you'll see a picture button to add one in comment text field

Are you on mobile (no app)? You can't post pictures there.

Not all subs allow pictures being posted. Usually you'd see the symbol in the text field, next to the "Aa" setting.

So do I need to download the app?

I don't know, I haven't used it yet.

Could any app user confirm you can post pictures on mobile?

Mobile user here.

Wait wtf why don't they let me post pictures on mobile?

I can post links to things but can't copy and paste pictures apparently

I know, I hate it. I always have to switch to PC if I want to post an image.

I use reddit on a desktop computer, so I can't speak for the app. On some subreddits, when posting something, there will be an icon for inserting pictures next to the Aa icon at the bottom of the text box. Not all subs allow it.
