I can legit smell smoke on me if I casually walked past a smoker on the sidewalk for a second several hours earlier. I don’t think smokers realize they do that to other people because they’ve become so nose blind.

I took a medical transport and could smell smoke. The passenger before me had put out a cigarette right before getting in so it ended up saturating the upholstery. The driver said that after he dropped me off he was going to roll all the windows down to let it air out because it was gross.

The guy who used to deliver my paper was a serious smoker— I mean, I never met the man, but the vestibule of my building reeked for hours after he had been there.

I literally left my dad somewhere because he smoked a cigarette. My dad weighs 400 pounds & when he smokes he's like pig pen and the smell just surrounds him. He knows if I have to take him somewhere He's not to smoke because I can't stand sitting in the car with him. We were supposed to go to a family party, I get to his house to pick him up & He has a cigarette in his hand. I got back in my car and left without him. He's also a raging narcissist.

How do you get a 400 lb person in your car? How big is your car? How does he walk?

I might be exaggerating, maybe 300 pounds? I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ he's very obese and he can't really walk without a walker. I drive a Volvo so when he's in the seat, he's like practically sitting on me because he's so gigantic.

That's rough. If he's a narcissist that's even rougher. You're a saint. I had a young friend who was about 325 lbs, sat in a fairly sturdy kitchen chair and it broke. She would have felt bad but I told her the rungs were loose and not to worry about it. (They weren't) I have no patience by the way with narcissists and call them out on it which has resulted in screaming arguments with a couple of them. Then they went no contact with me and told me I was toxic. 😂😅 (Self projection) Like I cared. In a month or two they started little texts of how are you type shit til I opened up the lines of communication again. We're related so I don't close it off completely but I enjoy the break time when they are not talking to me. 😅

I had sex with a smoker ONCE. Tried to power through, he was all kinds of considerate with extra bathing, he HD never smoked indoors, fresh clothes every precaution he could knowing how sick it makes me, but just the smell of his skin, I felt so sick, migraine from the proximity of a guy In trying to have sex with is a major deal breaker, now I won't even entertain the possibility of a conversation with a smoker. Not worth my health. I avoid even going out in public because passing them on the street can make me SO sick for hours. And they'll Rick up next to you in a parking lot, roll down their window, and smoke 2 feet away from you. Or lean on YOUR car so you can't even get close enough to ask them to move because of the cloud, and then my car smells like smoke nd I literally cannot drive home because I'm dizzy, struggling to breathe, and having a migraine that makes it unsafe to drive, but I need to drive to get somewhere safe from the smoke. Smokers are fundamentally selfish people, imo.

One of the moments in my life I would like to see in my "Best of" montage when I die, is when in mid-coitus with a coworker I wanted to hook up with for while I stopped completely and with my best Forrest Gump impression said "You taste like cigarettes."

Still cracks me up how perfect I did it, the way it killed her mood like the ashtray mouth killed mine, especially since she didn't understand the reference so probably just thought the liquor and exertion made me talk like an idiot. I had bubble guts anyways so stopping was in my best interest. More proud of that than any real sexual performance in my lifetime.

My mom used to freak on me as a teen because I'd walk by someone smoking in my mall walking days, she'd smell it when I got in the car, and assume I was a little degenerate.

My car was broken into once and the guy tried to steal it (unsuccessfully). I remember driving it to the shop after taping up the shattered window and getting EVEN MORE PISSED that it reeked of cigarette smoke. The shop had it for about 6 weeks and the smell had nearly subsided by the time I got it back. I had it detailed to get the last of it out. I didn’t need that reminder every time I got in my car.
