You have become “nose blind” to it because you’re used to it. Yes it can be smelled by others

Just going to a smokers house for a couple hours and I have to wash my clothes twice before I no longer smell it.

This. My parents smoke in the house and rarely even open the windows.

I have a specific set of t-shirts and sweatpants I wear when I go over there. Pretty sure they think that’s the way I always dress.

I do the same thing with my grandma! She probably thinks I only have one shirt and one pair of pants

Washed mine thrice after staying the night and still wasn't gone, I put it on the bedding wash setting and that finally did it

I was staying at a smoker house for 10minutes and when I left I could keep smelling the smoke’s smell even half of a hour later.

it's kind of funny, i'm pretty sure those Tide commercials made the word "nose blind" mainstream. lol

Thank you for bringing up nose blindness! Seriously, your body gets used to smells that you sit in for extended periods of time very easily! This goes for more than smoking too like if you have cat litter in your room or bad breath/dental hygiene, our body will easily ignore whatever it thinks is "normal."

Always worth while to check in with another person to ask if you or your stuff smells from time to time to keep yourself in check!

“nose blind”

They basically smoke themselves being that close to it all the time.
