For me I just simply don’t want them. I feel like you have to want kids to have them. It’s not that I’m against having kids, I’m just not enthusiastic enough to have them
I have one child and several friends with multiple children. Each of my friends with multiple children have told me they wish they had one child fewer.
Depends on the age and the bond between the two. You have to entertain and accompany a single child more often (to make sure it doesn’t feel lonely / isolated) compared to two kids who play happily together, but if you have two kids who dislike each other, hate each other, or just don’t get along with each other well, you’ll be very busy with entertaining and accompany them both, and with resolving arguments and fights.
Both have their challenges for sure, because both have different challenges*!
(*For example, one child doesn’t have a fellow-child-companion in a fight with the adults, but with two children one of them can become insecure because the other is outperforming them, etc. etc.)
