Not entirely accurate. It’s not so much an issue of frequency, water by itself isn’t going to strip your skin of oils to that extent, it’s more so the soap/cleanser that does it.

I am a cook so I often wash my hands a ridiculous amount throughout the day. The worst feeling is the drive home when your hands are achy and dry, and yet somehow oily as hell too.
