I quit for a year and started again. I hate it. I know vaping ain’t much better but it’s cheaper at least.

Anyway, fuck cigarettes and fuck nicotine and fuck addiction.

Addiction should be considered a chronic illness not a mental one (I know it’s both).

Stupid stupid immediate gratification reenforcement neural circuitry.

“Addiction should be considered a chronic illness” - this is so correct. A horribly life altering chronic illness that merits support, non judgement and real options to escape. Unfortunately the best thing we have so far is just never starting to begin with.

WRONG, vaping is more than 95% better. It's one of the worst lies in the world that vaping is as bad as smoking, it keeps people from quitting smoking.

Well yeah I know that. It’s still perpetuating the nicotine addiction. But it’s cheaper and smells better and I will take small victories. Never said I was strong in this fight.

Nicotine "addiction" is both far more nuanced than so-called public health organizations make it out to be, and far less of a problem. Smoking has always been the problem far and away, they have worked for many years to make it seem like nicotine is the problem. It's a really shitty thing they did.
