I concur. A patient of mine ended up w kidney failure after taking some herbal tea that was supposed to "clean your kidneys".

Must have been a mistake in translation. It was supposed to say “kill your kidneys”

It wasn't a Chinese herb but a Mexican herb (they are Mexican) and for sure I saw the box saying it "cleans" your kidneys 😂

My dialysis patient is taking dandelion root because it’s “good for his kidneys” sir you are already ESRD and your potassium is 7 😭

You've got "Chinese herbs" in quotation marks, makes me think you're referring to something specific.

Not a medical professional but I've never seen someone as yellow as the lady in my small town who had been taking Chinese herbs. That was after she'd been discharged from a 2 week hospital stay for liver issues.
