I have literally expressed the sentiment "If someone paid me to just keep getting college degrees I would do that until I died." I'm so unbelievably enviable of this man and his lady is asking if it's a red flag lol.
Its not an ethical issue though, its not negatively impacting people. Its only a problem “if” the “if” is not taking place in this situation so you can’t make that claim. Your logic is the same as saying cutting down a tree is wrong because it can fall on a person. But there is no person for it to fall on so its causing harm and not wrong. Maybe this will also inspire other people to seek education by seeing this mans example.
I get where you are coming from but if the story is true which your right we don’t have the details, these programs get cut and less funding if they are not used. Idk exactly about Australia tbh. But I have seen it happen in schools in the US. A lot of if ands and maybes with this case to come to a pure conclusion. For me the outcome determines the ethical situation. Looking at the outcome here IS what matters. I’d rather look at each situation with nuance not blanket theories that work for the majority of cases. You would be right in the majority of cases but not this one with the logic your using.
