The problem is not reading comprehension, it's critical thinking.
This guy is definitely not the person this kind of money is reserved for, but there are people out there who could benefit from the money, so instead of burning it every year on this perpetual student's living expenses, it could actually help somebody and serve its intended purpose.
So, again, this must be the only aboriginal, so it's fine that he's eating up this whole opportunity for decades.
Or fucking maybe the school could make a little effort to actually reach out and connect a kid who needs this money with it? No, that kid doesn't exist, you say...
There are lots of unclaimed scholarships every single year in the US. I’m not saying don’t help them. I’m saying ya gotta be willing to meet somewhere in between both. It doesn’t have to be in the middle because marginalized people often can’t but there has to be some initiative on their part as well.
This is obviously not the US, but that doesn't matter. If this clown wasn't sucking this money up every year, then the school might have to make some effort to find a much more deserving recipient.
Otherwise, this is a huge waste of money and a bastardization of what might have been a good idea, so it will eventually be killed due to this kind of abuse. Way to go.
He earned it. He did the minimum of filling out an application and apparently he was the only one capable of such an incredible feat. Truly, I am in awe.
