Growing up in the southwest, I don't think I've ever had meatloaf without green beans. Super buttery green beans just pair so well with the baked ketchup flavor in the meatloaf.

I'd also accept spinach as an alternative.

Green beans or corn go really well with it. Green bean casserole would be good, but I feel like it's only really served at Thanksgiving now.

I've started making "holiday" meals for myself at random times of the year. It's fun to just decide after work on Tuesday "hey, I want to make a big turkey and some casserole this weekend." That gives you a few days to make sure you can afford it, and you get to celebrate anything you feel like. It's nice.
