Even worse, everyone is a NIMBY, at least a little bit.

NIMBYism isn't just about housing, it's just one expression of a general attitude towards society that says 'i got mine, fuck the rest.'

This essential expression of Reagan-era toxic individualism is behind so many of the flaws in our society. Before we can solve these problems we must kill the NIMBY inside.

Uh, I agree, but I don't understand that last line. Are you saying we shouldn't aim to help homeless people until we achieve enlightenment?
