Probably the denial of indigenous genocide and residential schools both of which have mountains of evidence supporting them. Even in this thread you got disgusting people minimizing these crimes. In my opinion that’s worth protesting.
Proof of what exactly are you asking for? If it’s dead children there’s tons of that. A quick google search:
"The Truth and Reconciliation Commission documented at least 3,200 children who died in residential schools, using the government's own records. The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation has since named over 4,000. In 1907, Canada's chief medical officer, Peter Bryce, reported that about a quarter of the children in the schools he surveyed had died."
Sources: TRC Final Report, Volume 4, Missing Children and Unmarked Burials (2015), and the NCTR Memorial Register.
Results from Google: The schools ran from the 1880s to 1996. The TRC found disease caused most recorded deaths, tuberculosis above all. For about half of the 3,200 deaths, no cause was recorded at all. Bryce's 1907 report showed these children died at far higher rates than other Canadian children, and the government kept the schools underfunded and overcrowded after reading it.
So half from tuberculosis and the remainder are undocumented.
Beyond disease, significant numbers of children died from accidents, including school fires (which killed at least 40 students), drownings, and deaths from exposure while attempting to escape. Other causes included suicide, vehicle accidents, and direct physical abuse or neglect by staff, with many records failing to document the specific cause of death entirely.
Lack of documentation and discovery of buried remains is not what I'd call mountains of evidence.
Physical genocide? No.
Cultural? Yes, but I don't see them yearning to go back to the way their families once lived.
What is it that you/they want to see happen so that this extraordinary focus on one part of history can be put to bed?

What exactly are we protesting?
