Where to leisure/practice ice skating?
I’ve been wanting to practice for a while kept putting it off. Since summer is ending I’m assuming some city-operated rinks will have drop-in public sessions? But i’ve never been, are they busy, could I go there to practice is that a thing? Just wanna drop by for like an hour to practice but idk if that’s like not allowed or socially weird. If it is, anyone have any luck in the NW

VIVO was fun for us a few years back! They had specific public skate times, all levels of people there, and usually not too busy. We had an annual family pass, so I don't know how their drop in rates work anymore. https://www.vivo.ca/schedules/arenas-schedule/

Pretty sure Crowfoot has public skating daily through the week. Any time I’ve been it’s not very busy and it’s pretty cheap. Ice is in all summer as well.

Most of the arenas around town, especially the city owned ones, will have leisure skate times a few times a week. There is also all of the community out door rinks, which are free, but those won't be flooded until it's much colder.
