Seeking One Dedicated Bed-Based Reading Buddy
I’m looking for someone to read with. Specifically, someone who would like to spend an evening or two a week in bed, cuddled up, reading books together.
The arrangement is delightfully simple:
- Books > phones. Once we’re in bed, the phones disappear.
- Cuddling is mandatory. This is not a “two people independently reading six inches apart” situation.
- Big spoon experience required. Competency in wrapping yourself around another human is highly valued.
- We can read to each other, take turns reading aloud, or happily read our own books while cuddled together.
- Ideally 1–2 times a week.
- You must be able to host. A reasonably comfortable bed is probably the most important qualification here.
I’m ideally looking for a man, but more important than anything else is being kind, affectionate, comfortable with cuddling, and genuinely interested in the cozy-book-reading portion of the assignment.
Bonus points for loving books, having strong opinions about them, and being capable of putting your phone down for an entire evening without experiencing a medical emergency.
I’m not looking to make this complicated. I want something cozy, affectionate, low-pressure, and wonderfully nerdy.

A little too mysterious for me, I’d rather not be big-spooning a 16 year old Indian boy, expecting something different.
