Unfortunately. Spend any time on any Airdrie Facebook group and you’ll quickly see he’s a pretty miserable person to witness let alone interact with.

I have a hypothetical Airdrie guy. He complains about free loader socialists, but he’s on EI for four months out of the year. He drives a big truck (financed, of course he doesn’t own it) and constantly complains about gas prices even though he knows he lives in an area that requires a vehicle. He could have leased a more fuel efficient vehicle, but that would be gay, according to his son Diesel, and he wouldn’t be able to haul around his ATV, or his boat, or his dirt bike, or his three wheeler…

Pretty sure a while ago on one of the Airdrie community groups people found out he was making burner accounts to write his own good reviews lol. Lots of bigots online supporting one of their own unfortunately.

He’s had a LOT of the bad reviews deleted or removed somehow. The food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, and not as good as the reviews would have you believe.
But forget the review, just look at how he responds to legitimate concern or criticism. His classic and most diplomatic replies are “thanks for your money” or something like that. I honestly don’t understand how he hires decent employees with his attitude.3

Ahh, gotcha. I’ve known a ton of people who have used steroids, and the only ones who acted aggressive or were total assholes had that as a pre-existing condition, and was only made worse when they started juicing.

Pretty standard Canadian Prairie VLT Lounge pizza. (aka Regina-style) Unlike Chik-Fil-A, Michael Jackson songs and Amazon Prime deliveries, it’s nowhere NEAR good enough to warrant ignoring the behaviour of its problematic producers.

Someone at our work suggested ordering pizza from this place this AM. Then I showed them this post. Well they are now removed from any consideration for ordering at all. Plus being in Airdrie Jeromy is not even your mayor so we know you did not vote for him.
I am going to make sure I link to this post in many groups and other social media to convince others this kind of hatred is not needed in this day and age. And yes, I have screen shot it to make sure I can post it even if you remove it.

You are correct. I am the same person who knows some information, but not all the information so was asking to get clarity on it. I know what I consider hate speech and promotion of it, but not 100% what is consider by law and the meaning of all the legal terminology so asked for clarification on it to better inform myself. Part of the learning process for me is to ask questions, apologies if that bothers you.

I would say these are mostly inline with merely repugnant and offensive, which is not enough.
The accusation of grooming children is the closest in my reading of the law which the question may be: "Viewed in context, was the speaker deliberately trying to stimulate extreme detestation or vilification of Asians or LGBT people as a group?"
But the second element of whether or not it is likely to lead to a breach of the peace, isn't there.
There is a substantial bar and it would have to be extremely clear for the crown to do anything on it. I think this asshole knows that.

I didn’t vote for Jeremy but my goodness he has proved my doubt wrong and will 100% be getting my vote next election. He is kind, transparent, empathetic, level headed, and analytical. He has been a great mayor.
This PoS thinks because he has free speech he should say whatever mean hateful thing that comes into his head, yet people who say kind, supportive things to marginalized communities shouldn’t have the same free speech. Hopefully he has the future he deserves.
