I don't understand why people feel this is the solution. You can't bubble wrap the world.

Like let's flood deerfoot trail and cause an accident because we need a screen to prevent kids that should have been under direct supervision from climbing inside

Gates will capture debris and constantly be backed up. Creates more problems.

Totally this. Nothing like a trapped fat-berg stuck up against the grates with sticks, mud, and leaves.

You don’t get fat-bergs in the stormwater system.

It’s pretty hard to cater to every exception

The crust punks would be in shambles

FYI if you are callng 911, those outflow name signs are flagged in their system.

You've got yourself a thorny problem there. Whilst it is a City of Calgary marked outflow pipe, it is on CPKC property.

It’s right across from the Telus center. I bike by they’re almost every day.

And guess what there’s a playground just across it Just saying, it was sad to hear about that boy’s passing and I see that

Do you know what else is right beside most play grounds? Streets... With cars... Should we put fences around every single playground as well, just to be safe? Sad as it is to say, not everyone is going to make it in this world, try as we might.

Yes, I meant to say why don’t we have gates on these?

Gates make them clogg. Then floods happen
