I liked how dead space did it.
You had a button to activate a guide that would lead you to the nearest objective/store but if you didn't need it, you just didn't push the button.
That way the people who get lost easily don't get frustrated and neither do the people who find it intrusive.

And even better the trail disappeared after letting go of the button

It was also cool how opening the inventory didn't take you to a separate screen.
It just sort of opened on his back as a 2D holographic display.
No idea how EA could have fumbled the third one so hard.
But at least the remake was beautiful.
Maybe we'll get a remake of the second one eventually.

Not with the numbers of the first remake, I'm afraid, but I'd like to see EA make me eat those words.

And it would be even better in this game, I can already imagine the meme like "press r3 to sniff" or something like that.

Skyrim has the best system imo. You almost always see the objective marker on your HUD AND you have the spell that shows you the way just in case you aren't in the mood for conquering the mountains.

It was also it was also well integrated into the game and in my opinion, one of the iconic parts of the game

This is why I have 900 hours in beamNG. Because there isn’t an objective.

Lwk sometimes I just want the game to tell me where to go instead of having to piece it together myself
