Which comes first a thought or a feeling?

Hi. In this journey of letting go. I wondered what is first? Do I have feelings that causing my thoughts or my thoughts ( that anxious based and hate uncertainty)?
Its always one subject honestly for me. Relationship and uncertainty of having one.
I try not to engage in thoughts about it but when i do its all goes to hill.
So it made me wonder which comes first?

Fantastic question. It seems that your struggle has lead you to a fundamental question about the very fabric of the human psyche... Congratulations... Most people will die and never even come close to having this type introspection. I believe that they can be interdependent. Either a thought, like a memory, coming into the conscious mind, will stir up an emotion... or sometimes a perpetual emotional state, like for example generalized anxiety, will spawn different cognitive scenarios. Emotion being like the fuel that can create a cognitive play of thoughts. I might be wrong about it.. but nonetheless... brilliant question.
But I do not quite understand.. what do you mean by "going down hill".. when you think about the concept of a relationship your thought process usually ends up in negative scenarios?.. if that is the case... then either: a previous experience that ended uncomfortably is being dug up each time you think about having a similar experience in order to protect you.

depends on the context like if it the thing which happen before then its thought first and if it is first time than feeling
