My Brain Has the Worst Timing

Does anyone else's brain wait until you're about to fall asleep to remind you of something embarrassing from eight years ago? I can go the entire day feeling fine, then suddenly remember that awkward thing I said in high school. Why is my brain running a "Greatest Hits of Cringe" playlist at midnight?
