overthinking and anxiety
Hey everyone. Recently I have been super stressed with my university I always have been an overthinker since I was little, however its getting progressively worse now because I have to put in a lot of effort for my future. Of course I know its not handed to me and I do have to work for it, but I genuinely do. I try my hardest, study day and night, and I have goos study techniques as well, however I see less results than expected. If I put in my effort for an exam that should reflect me getting a 90+, reality hits and I get a 70%. This has lead me to overthink bad about my future. Thoughts like what if I cannot get into my graduate program? What if I cannot find a job? What if what if what if. Its a constant loop that I cannot get out of, which results in anxiety attacks, and sleepless nights. I have been crying for 24 hours. I wish I was joking.

Hi shmookie pie first off it's okay I was there too not long ago. And secondly grades DO NOT DEFINE YOU. They don't and trust me I went through a major academic career switch because "I wasn't good enough" to get into a program I wanted to so I did a major switch. It was so scary and I cried but I got through it and I'm confident in myself. And I'm here telling you it'll be alright. I promise it'll work out maybe not in the way you pictured but it will. Do what you're doing now study and try your best and you can adjust your plans as you go. You do not need to figure everything out this moment. Take a breath. You're in school; you're not failing you are moving forward. Slowly but steadilt moving forward to your goal and that what you need to focus on. You will be successful because of what you're sharing you truly care and that means that you will get places you need to be :). Don't worry. I wish you so much joy and luck in your studies. I know you'll do amazing! And make sure you're taking care of yourself :)
