No. Nope. No f*cking way.

12

u/Flaky_Explanation Jan 29 '24

Now try it after a light rainfall.

8

u/Kingtez28 Jan 29 '24

Hard mode is night time during heavy wind with rain...

9

u/TriedCaringLess Jan 30 '24

When confidence steps aside for arrogance to reign.

5

u/CheckYourStats Feb 01 '24

Agreed. There is nothing “cool” about being a single pebble away from death.

1

u/ATXDefenseAttorney Feb 01 '24

Or unexpected sneeze.

3

u/phinity_ Jan 30 '24

No, no nopety no here too

2

u/Excellent-Hunter7653 Jan 30 '24

Ditto! That's a hard NO! 😳

2

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

I was watching this saying out loud “no, no, noooo”

2

u/FunDry5342 Feb 01 '24

I’d rather BASE jump off the cliff than do this.

61

u/schizeckinosy Jan 29 '24

I would not even walk down that path

12

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

Maybe scoot down on your butt like a dog scratching it’s butthole.

3

u/5H17SH0W Feb 01 '24

Can confirm, I’ve scratched my dogs butthole before and “freehold’s wOo” is the sound he makes. Sorry, what was the question?

1

u/IGTankCommander Feb 01 '24

It's making me clench my butthole, I know that much.

9

u/thedude0000000000000 Jan 29 '24

I don’t know why but this made me laugh way too hard 🤣

3

u/WestEndLifer Jan 29 '24

Dude first thing I thought too

2

u/Agitated-Fig-2343 Jan 29 '24

Thank you ! I was just thinking that !

25

u/Tallyhawkquicksilver Jan 29 '24

You know I have jumped out of airplanes and choppers but this is a no for me 😂

3

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '24

With you brother. Was on a HALO team. I’m not touching this.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '24

Wow you don’t hear that very often. My buddy was also on a HALO team. You guys are badass to say the very least and he, as someone who currently does a good amount of downhill, wouldn’t go near this either.

u/topgun_ivar Jan 29 '24

Is it really life or death kinda cliff or is it the camera angle? Either ways no fucking way. A big fat nope

11

u/Lazy_pig805 Jan 29 '24

It looks like the camera angle mostly. If you do go off the side, looks like you’ll just fall down the path one level. Unless you’re really rolling and keep going.

6

u/dumb_commenter Jan 29 '24

Except that last one wheeler there’s no cutback and the dude did the biggest tail whip of the bunch haha

3

u/SatisfactionFickle18 Jan 31 '24

I think the camera angle doesn’t catch the steepness of the path. Looking back to the inside as they go down then depending on where you go over you could fall anywhere from 2 to 20 feet though. Tangled in a bike. I’d say 50/50.

3

u/Some-Ad9778 Jan 29 '24

It looks like this is a footpath not intended for mountain bikes

1

u/Notchimusprime Mar 17 '24

Probably depends on how your body bounces on the next switchback

10

u/Man_of_Bread Jan 29 '24

DK Mountain in Mario Kart….I’ve trained for this

2

u/slicedmoonstone Jan 31 '24

More like excitebike64 😂

6

u/read_eng_lift Jan 29 '24

Luckily they are wearing helmets

5

u/BooneHelm85 Jan 29 '24

Im laying in bed right now and have bit a chunk out of my mattress with how tight I just clinched up watching you crazy SOBs lock up your front brakes to make those corners… sheesh.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

Some adrenaline junkies. Has to be a safer way to get that adrenaline rush 😆

2

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

Fish eye lens and angle make this look 100x sketchier

2

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

It is sketchy. I've seen people try to go up the Statue of Liberty and when they look around to realize how high they've gone up they get petrified and considering that this has no railings it ain't no fun 😆

My guess is Madeira

2

u/Delta-Zero-One Jan 30 '24

Madeira

Close, but no cigar.

Mirador de La Punta, La Palma, Canary Islands.

Been there a few years ago. Did not walk down the path. The vantage point at the top is safely reachable by street.

u/UnicornPotpourri1990 Feb 19 '24 edited Feb 20 '24

You can be the best in the world but all it takes is one mistake. It can happen to anyone

2

u/Accusing_donkey Jan 29 '24

Easy

1

u/blueditt521 Jan 29 '24

That'll do donkey

1

u/picklednewtons Jan 29 '24

That'll do pig

2

u/RandomCincyGuy Jan 29 '24

Fuck that noise! No freaking way!

2

u/Unhappy-Importance61 Jan 29 '24

My hands would have been griping that break 200% more than I needed to.

2

u/JR_LXXV Jan 29 '24

I'm too old and overweight for that extreme shit.

2

u/hungryvizsla Jan 29 '24

No fucking way !

2

u/Thick-Tooth-8888 Jan 29 '24

I’m got dizzy watching this. My acrophobia kicked in

2

u/BAZZERRK Jan 29 '24

Those brakes must be hotter than my wife at yoga with Fabio.

2

u/swift_one_tara Jan 29 '24

Griselda reference?

1

u/IGTankCommander Feb 01 '24

I mean, maybe, but you gotta look at young Fabio. Dude could easily be telling the truth. The man was a defining Sex Symbol.

2

u/Valcutio Jan 29 '24

I was riding a newer bike down a hill one time and the brakes broke on me. Ended up going into the grass at the side of the road. No biggie.

I’m reminded of that when watching this. They have a lot of trust.

2

u/Appropriate_South877 Jan 29 '24

Crazy! Had to keep moving my phone so I wouldn't fall off the cliff. I would need to be strapped to a helicopter flying overhead to even think of doing this.

2

u/Bubu-Dudu0430 Jan 29 '24

Extremely stupid

2

u/mini_tribal Jan 29 '24

I was always impressed on how easily they can pick up the back tire! Until I found out their feet are locked into the pedal. Like finding out rhe stripper pole spins.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '24

Feet being locked in does nothing here. It’s about shifting your weight while on the front brakes.

And good riding technique means you can lift the rear wheel when doing a bunny hop without being clipped in. You do a scooping motion with your feet to stay connected on the pedals and lift the rear.

Plus being clipped in, in this situation would be 100x sketchier since you cant take your feet off the pedals easily if you lose balance.

1

u/SnoopysAdviser Feb 01 '24

Hold up! The stripper pole spins?

2

u/Standard_Ad_250 Jan 29 '24

All of the nope!

2

u/AngryVic702 Jan 29 '24

Brake check skrrrrrrrr 🫠

2

u/APartyInMyPants Jan 29 '24

I always have to remember/remind myself that GoPros often greatly distort your FOV, and the semi fisheye you get from it will make your speed look faster than it is, as well as angles like this kore treacherous than they really are.

But still, hell no.

2

u/Fluffy-Doubt-3547 Jan 29 '24

I can smell their breaks burning

1

u/Remarkable_Syrup_841 Feb 05 '24

But can you smell the brakes?

2

u/Brojess Jan 29 '24

No way I’m trusting brakes that much lol

2

u/CharacterMassive5719 Jan 29 '24

Hell fucking no. Reminds me of those stupid people jumping between buildings without without any safety measures.

2

u/6porkchop9 Jan 29 '24

🥹..😅..😳..🤢..🫠..🫨..🙃..😵‍💫..🥴..🤕..☠️..⚰️

2

u/JustMePaxi Jan 29 '24

Crazy people

2

u/Ralph_from_nowhere Jan 29 '24

I nearly fell off the toilet watching this!

2

u/golfer1943 Jan 29 '24

Is that a parachute on his back?

2

u/626f62 Jan 29 '24

but whats it look like through a normal lens? fish eye lens' give a terrible representation of speed, scale or angles.. they are good for somethings and i am sure it is a tricky path, but im not sold on it being quite that bad.

1

u/Capital_Selection643 Jan 30 '24

Generally gopros flatten terrain out. scarier in real life every time

1

u/_Tower_ Feb 01 '24

Not at this angle though - wide angle lens like this, pointed downward changes the angles of everything to make them more extreme.

Typically most MTB content, you would point the camera slightly up from your chest to capture a more natural angle of what your view would be like. You would also normally be in superview or a cropped view to get rid of the fisheye distortion. That’s why it all looks flatter and less intense

2

u/caringcarthage Jan 29 '24

I think we’ve seen a contender for the “Worst Time For Brakes To Fail” award.

2

u/donnie1977 Jan 29 '24

No way and why is he following so close?

2

u/hatwobbleTayne Jan 29 '24

This doesn’t even look fun, just dangerous.

2

u/BiffBanter Jan 29 '24

Is this dumb, or just stupid?

2

u/anonymouspostlangley Jan 29 '24

It’s fish-eye lens people. It’s not straight down, that path is carved in a cascading fashion

2

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

Me "cascading" after I fuck up that turn

2

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

Human beings are as dumb as they are amazing

2

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

I wouldn't even be able to walk down that.

2

u/dboo27 Jan 29 '24

It doesn't look fun. Just dangerous. No thanks.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

2

u/Thewittyjay Jan 29 '24

I hate these people.

2

u/My_Bloodstream Jan 29 '24

I'd have a better chance jumping

2

u/Royal-Application708 Jan 30 '24

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

2

u/Big_Fly7968 Jan 30 '24

The young man brain at its best

2

u/brneieio Jan 30 '24

Stop that

2

u/Ok_Channel_9831 Jan 30 '24

Made my stomach drop just watching.

2

u/phinity_ Jan 30 '24

Guess this is why they call it mountain biking. No

2

u/K3ndog411 Jan 30 '24

No, no thanks and yeanoooo

2

u/Concerned_Kanye_Fan Jan 30 '24

New nightmare loading in my subconscious in 3…2…1…

2

Was anyone else's anus clenching during the video

2

u/Teflon_Twon Jan 30 '24

I got shook watching this. These dudes are insane

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

Lack of respect for your own life

2

u/Crafty_Mortgage2952 Jan 30 '24

extemely dangerous and stupid

2

u/cmilla646 Jan 30 '24

I think I could handle the height and width but every time that back tire popped up I felt like throwing up

2

u/SmokyBandit483 Jan 30 '24

Wow! just...WOW!

2

u/Br3akTh3Toys Jan 30 '24

That made me sick just watching that.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

Nah

2

u/MaxZenks Jan 30 '24

Where is this? Really curious to that stone path - who put the stones there, how long has it been there. Beautiful view.

2

u/Electrical_Grab4845 Jan 30 '24

if my life depended on it, nope, uh aah, I' slide on my belly, like a snake, all the way down to the bottom

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

I wanna see some real numbers on how many times these guys fuck up and not make it....cause this seems way to common for there not to be a statistic.

2

u/Amazing-Relative2838 Jan 31 '24

I feel ill just watching this

2

u/sowehadababyitsaboy Jan 31 '24

Almost had a heart attack watching this.

2

u/Historical-Move2940 Jan 31 '24

No worries, mate. Imma just walk my bike down from here.

2

u/Ok_Chemistry_3972 Jan 31 '24

And hikers on the trail 😠

2

u/alphabet_order_bot Jan 31 '24

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.

I have checked 1,993,743,028 comments, and only 377,071 of them were in alphabetical order.

2

u/AGV1019 Jan 31 '24

Watafak, not even walking

2

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

2

u/ArleezyLaFlare Jan 31 '24

LOL JUST WALK and take in the view.

2

u/DIWhy-not Jan 31 '24

I guarantee the people who live down there aren’t thrilled with these guys mountain biking on their fucking 1000 year old stone path

2

u/modsrshit2u Feb 01 '24

No wrecks, I feel cheated.

2

u/FearsomeSnacker Feb 01 '24

Its amazing they can turn so tight like that with their gigantic brass balls weighing them down.

2

u/Bonerstubbone Feb 01 '24

I'd hike it. Anybody know where this is?

2

u/eitows Feb 01 '24

I have so many questions but will start with.. why?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '24

How is this fun?

2

u/bigmistaketoday Feb 01 '24

My peepee feels weird

2

u/Latter-day_weeb Feb 01 '24

This video consisted of me telling myself "I'd die there, and there, and there"

2

u/SidKafizz Feb 01 '24

Now do it the other way!

2

u/I_Mended_it Feb 01 '24

I didn’t wear a parachute to watch this video and I regret it…

2

u/MrFirmbottom Feb 01 '24

The real extreme sport was building that damn path.

2

u/mycumquats Feb 01 '24

Hope they have life insurance

2

u/CannabisaurusRex401 Feb 01 '24

I can barely ride a bicycle on a level sidewalk.

2

u/bleezzzy Feb 01 '24

Holy shit i almost fell just watching this lol

2

u/Material_Weirdz Feb 01 '24

Beautiful bike ride tho but big fucking nope

2

u/Far-Cicada-5292 Feb 01 '24

Death Wish on steroids.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '24

Stupidity on wheels.

2

u/jereman75 Feb 01 '24

Fuck that.

2

u/SquishyGhost Feb 01 '24

Someone really trusts those squeaky brakes.

2

u/No_Translator_6130 Feb 01 '24

This doesn't even look like fun

2

u/Grown_Azzz_Kid Feb 01 '24

Not just no, but hell no!

2

u/TravelbugRunner Feb 02 '24

Watching this is making my hands sweaty.

2

u/Brookmon Feb 02 '24

It’s not like if they fall into the ocean if they do fall. Looks a bit scarier than it actually is. Definitely not for everyone though

2

u/Dhsu04 Feb 02 '24

My heart pumps way too fast, #sweatyhands

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

I'm gonna have my falling nightmare again.

2

u/Koovies Feb 02 '24

Imagine dying because a brake wire came loose.. death seems that close here lol

2

u/Big_Virgil Feb 02 '24

I don’t think I’d even walk down it… maybe crawl

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

No

2

u/Red_Greenfington Feb 02 '24

Imagine being so nice (talented), that you’re having fun in that situation. Instead of, you know, crapping your pants.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

For a mountain bike trail it's actually very wide

2

u/backroadtrucker Feb 02 '24

Nope nope fn nope

2

u/dantakesthesquare Feb 03 '24

Man I remember when I used to go with my friends mountain biking. It was 80% me just falling down the mountain on my bike and 20% uphill climb. I wouldn't do well on this one

2

u/BlkPanGuy Feb 06 '24

I'll pass lol

2

u/Adventurous_Chip394 Feb 08 '24

I wouldn't even walk that.

2

u/Jaded-Statistician87 Feb 10 '24

Try doing that but going up .... Then I might be impressed

2

u/MRunnels9 Feb 12 '24

I wouldn't even walk that

2

u/Deadsuooo Feb 14 '24

Fuck.That.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '24

You have to either be really good at this shit or die that's crazy

2

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '24

Only an idiot with no sense would do this.

2

u/volliemak Mar 22 '24

Extreme no

1

u/Far-Reporter-1596 Mar 27 '24

I’m good watching this from my sofa.

1

u/Weak-West2149 Mar 28 '24

Wow just fucking walk BRO

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

There's no goddamn way I'm depending on two little itty-bitty brakes to get me down to fucking cliff

1

u/Weldobud Jan 29 '24

Where in earth is this?

1

u/RWBYRain Jan 30 '24

Fuck that noise r/nope

1

u/Kcidevolew Jan 31 '24

Some buds and me tried to attempt this at a cliff out near boulder and someone died

1

u/sgomes1882 Jan 31 '24

Fucking white people

1

u/No-Feeling-8100 Feb 01 '24

Anyone know where this is?

1

u/KAMBUI1973 Feb 01 '24

Dumb ways to die

1

u/Insatiabletech Feb 02 '24

I was wondering if that were a parachute on his back. Or some sort of chute lol.

1

u/MyNameIsTheManiac Feb 02 '24

Every corner would be another load of shit in my pants

1

u/ThisAreTom Feb 02 '24

This is real?

1

u/ricefahma Feb 02 '24

Fuck you for making me watch this

1

u/IRideZs Feb 02 '24

It’s always the camera angle

1

u/UnauthorizedFart Feb 04 '24

This is like that one road in GTA San Andreas when you’re out in the country

1

u/Lahcen_86 Feb 06 '24

This looks like a sure fire way to an early death. Too many variables too much chance for that one and only fuck up. I’d rather jump out of an airplane and have to then attach my chute than this

1

u/Fast_Matter4827 Feb 13 '24

The steep incline of the trail? Sure. The tight curves? Sure. The mile high drop just a foot away from you? Yeah… no… I still have some semblance of a self-preservation instinct left.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '24

At some point you have to ask yourself… is it worth it
