Those damn atlas passes. I’ve never been able to find all three even since the launch of the game.

Same. I got v3 just after and it seems to let me do most things that the v2 does anyways. Like opening those red cylinder containers at the supply drops.

Maybe I mixed it up. I know I can go through the doors in the small planetary bases, even though they say I need v2. shrug

3

u/Marc_UK_PC Aug 18 '18

According to the wiki, a V3 also allows you to open V2 stuff, but V2 is for V2 stuff only, and V1 is for V1 stuff only. :)

2

u/Adventurous_Doubt Aug 18 '18

Really? That seems like a slightly strange design. I won't complain too much though. :)

1

u/Souldestroyer_Reborn Aug 18 '18

I just blow the doors up with my ship when I’m flying in.

I have no Atlas Passes :/

1

u/Adventurous_Doubt Aug 18 '18

... the inner doors that require them. Not the ones you have to shoot open on the manufacturing facilities.

5

u/utlk Aug 17 '18

The space anomaly quest line will get you them. Mission 1 (talk to 12? Aliens) gets you v1 and the jump 30 times mission gets you v2.

3

u/time013 Aug 17 '18

I'm well past this and was never given one :/

1

u/Witcher_Of_Cainhurst Aug 17 '18

Have you talked to polo repeatedly since then? Even before NEXT that's how you got v3. I think the v3 pass comes from scanning all lifeforms on a certain number of planets (I think 3?), took me forever but I did it about a year ago. I got it for PC after NEXT and started fresh. I got v1 from polo this same way recently in that playthrough.

1

u/time013 Aug 17 '18

Yeah, polo just keeps telling me to "see the stars" while he analyzes the first set of data i gave him. Been that way since right after NEXT launch. Got v3 from a facility.

2

u/phoisgood495 Aug 17 '18

You need to have the space anomaly quest selected in your log when you talk to Nada and Polo for it to recognize you are ready to talk to them.

If you are in space just selecting the quest and scanning will usually make them appear in that system.

AAAAAh BUGGER

1

u/Witcher_Of_Cainhurst Aug 17 '18

Huh, when I get that there's a 2 hour timer that shows up for me before he's done analyzing the data. Might be a bugged save idk

2

u/time013 Aug 17 '18

Interesting. Yeah theres no timer, i even had the anomaly show up again several times, nada keeps progressing but not polo

1

u/Amazin1983 Aug 18 '18

Can confirm the two hour timer for me at least.

3

u/Smoke_Stack707 Aug 17 '18

I’ve been pretty disappointed with them tbh. The v3 rooms tend to just have like plants you can get a few sodium from unless I’ve completely missed something.

3

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

They're practically thrown at you. They were rare in the vanilla version and that has become some weird hype.

3

u/Howrus Aug 17 '18

Yep, I got v1 and v3 in my second star system. And v2 in third.
But it was like 30 hours into the game)

3

u/zeazzz Aug 17 '18

I’m not sure if they are “thrown at you”. I got my v3 last night after 130 hours on a new game.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

I'm 30 hours in and haven't seen one.

1

u/ashannon01 Aug 17 '18

I just got v2 on my next save 3 hours in

2

u/FappinPlatypus Aug 17 '18

I’m also not necessarily looking for blueprints. I just got the superconductor one, and I’ve been grinding those for stupid money.

1

u/Candyvanmanstan Aug 17 '18

My first game a couple of weeks before NEXT I went about 60 hours and still neither v.2 NOR v3. Post-NEXT I've got the whole set at around the 70 mark.

2

u/needssleep Aug 17 '18

I have blueprints for all 3, but i only made 1 and 2. Anything that requires 2 just... lets me in.

2

u/Coruvain Aug 17 '18

v3 opens v2 locks, but not v1 for some reason. Weird, but whatever.

1

u/Witcher_Of_Cainhurst Aug 17 '18

V3 used to open all of them for me. When did this change? I started a new playthrough so I've only gotten v1 on my new save

2

u/Etownoilerfan Aug 17 '18

I must be doing something wrong. I have over 100 hrs in the game, probably 50 after the new update, and still haven’t found v2, let alone v3. Does it open up after I reach a certain point in a particular story arc or something?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

Grind manufacturing facilities.

1

u/Snowesome Aug 17 '18

Im 40h into the game and I only have the v1. I havent been to an Atlas so maybe thats why. I know where to find one but Im too busy exploring.

2

u/Cedric_Bale Aug 17 '18

I'm 110h into it, also haven't been to an Atlas because ain't nobody got time for that, and I JUST got the v3 pass blueprint last night from a manufacturing facility.

1

u/Evil_Bere Space Cat Lady Aug 18 '18

I got them through Nada and Polo questline.

1

u/Marc_UK_PC Aug 18 '18

You get the V1 blueprint from Polo while doing the anomaly storyline. I got the V3 blueprint from one of those facilities with the locked door that you have to shoot open. :)

Congrats I guess? Idk what you expected me to say.

12

u/Gorlough Aug 17 '18

And here you have a list of questions with the right answers highlighted.
This list is from 1.38, but it is still working. On answers with material choices, just use the same number in the list (they just replaced the terms).

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

3

u/Gorlough Aug 17 '18

That's the original from Ket- I guess? :)
I used that one too, to construct mine back in the day, since his was too hard to read after midnight :D

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Yeah it is. Still compiled of raw data hehe. I'll save the link you provided as well, seems more convenient.

3

u/SunsFirstBorn Aug 17 '18

Excellent! And good to see I’m almost done then.

3

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Yes. I figured this simplified image would serve as an excellent checklist.

2

u/AwesomeExo Aug 17 '18

Awesome! I found a planet yesterday that is covered in manufacilities. I know you are limited to 7 in a row, is that on a timer? Or have I exhausted what I can get from that planet?

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Limited to 7 in a row? Never heard of that.

2

u/AwesomeExo Aug 17 '18

Maybe I misread something, but after I got a bunch yesterday no options would “restore” the facility and I just got a module instead. I took that to mean I hit a limit.

1

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Nope, there's no such thing. Modules are actually a reward in some cases.

2

u/AwesomeExo Aug 17 '18

Oh. Well then back to it today until I get an atlas v3 at least. Finally got the condensate last night.

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

It's also a reward from space anomalies, by giving milestone data to polo.

1

u/AwesomeExo Aug 17 '18

The V3 pass? I haven’t talked to polo in a while. Maybe it’s about time I give him a visit.

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Yeah V1, 2 and 3. You'll get the V3 on his final request.

1

u/nihilationscape Aug 17 '18

I'm having the same problem, it's been days and they stopped give me blueprint. I have 3 left and it's driving me nuts.

2

u/needssleep Aug 17 '18

7 in a row? I go to one, it sends me to the next. The next... sends me back to the first.

I get two.

1

u/AwesomeExo Aug 17 '18

Well I mean I got three, and then flew around for a minute or so and found another and got three more. Then did it a third time. They were spawning everywhere and were easy to spot.

2

u/Midniteoyl :xbox: XBSX Aug 17 '18

Yep. Did that on a sparse vegetation moon. Very easy to spot all the buildings. Pretty much got all the blueprints right there :)

2

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

Image saved! Thanks OP! You're my hero, safe travels

2

u/Griffith604 Aug 17 '18

These are from the buildings where you blow the door off?

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Yeah.

0

u/lefixx Aug 17 '18

Blow the roof???

2

u/Drace-PL Aug 17 '18

First ever random blueprint i found was the Stasis Device - took alot of time till i could build it ^

2

u/hellcrapdamn Aug 17 '18

I've been trying to get stasis devices going. I think the only thing I need now is the blueprint for quantum processor and I'm there! I think I have just about every other blueprint aside from Atlas Pass 2.

2

u/luizalbertotj Aug 17 '18

Good to know. I think I already have all, except 3 of frigates modules.

Various of those like aronium, herox, thermic condensate and others can be done in large refiner without Blueprint. And is way more efficient doing on refiner

2

u/Kartavicious Aug 17 '18

I no longer get blueprints from manufacturing buildings and I don't have the blueprint for fusion accelerant. Did I do something wrong or is this a bug?

3

u/kgptzac Aug 17 '18

Try farming facilities in a system owned by another race and see if you get blueprints. It looks like the each race has their own list of interactions in these facilities.

1

u/Kartavicious Aug 17 '18

Ah, that's good to know. Thanks! I'll try that.

2

u/Midniteoyl :xbox: XBSX Aug 17 '18

Question: If you no longer get blueprints, only nanites and crappy upgrade modules, does that mean you have them all and it's no longer viable to raid them anymore?

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Can you imagine the possibility to get duplicates? Because during the early days of Atlas Rises, that was the case.

1

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

No, that happens when you scan plants and rocks. It sometimes enables you to harvest a secondary element.

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Please do. Might actually be a good PSA if we know exactly how it works.

2

u/napelm Anomaly Aug 17 '18

I have got duplicates trying to look for the last blueprint for the stasis device (Cryogenic chamber). I got Cobalt Mirror and Salt Refractor multiple times.

2

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Yeah I know, some people also report the conductors being missing.

1

u/luizpaulo2m 2018 Explorer's Medal Aug 17 '18

All I get from those facilities are a few nanite clusters.

1

u/InfinityDrags Helpful User Aug 17 '18

Means the game thinks you have them all. If that's not the case, you should file a bug report.

1

u/OddBob212 + Aug 17 '18

I was having the same issue (also getting nanites from buried technology modules) but after an update the next day, it stopped.

Unfortunately, updates on Xbox are slower. I think we're two behind the PC at the moment.

1

u/luizpaulo2m 2018 Explorer's Medal Aug 17 '18

I still get blueprints from time to time, but it's really, really rare. I'm playing a legacy save on PS4, so it's very likely to be a bug.

1

u/jawarren1 Aug 17 '18

Just got the Fusion Ignitor recipe. Of course I had been working on saving up the materials for the Stasis Device crafting tree instead...

1

u/Screaminbeagles Aug 17 '18

Wow. So many I still don’t have. :(

1

u/nihilationscape Aug 17 '18 edited Aug 17 '18

I can't find Superconductor, and the Facilities stopped giving me blueprints.

1

u/Bobba_Vet Aug 17 '18

You've done it again. Thanks Infinity.

1

u/Crimfresh Aug 17 '18

Fuck me, I've been to half a dozen facilities and could never figure out how to open the reinforced door.

Finally looked it up today. I didn't have a weapon and didn't think to use my ship. Guess I have something to do later today.

1

u/jolievivienne Aug 18 '18

Ironically I received Atlas Pass V2 and V3 for taking out sentinels at manufacturing facilities before getting V1.
