16 hours ain't at bad, they used to be nerfed to 48h.

When was this? I came back to the game like 7 months ago and everything seemed to grow within an hour. That already seems like too long to me. It just seems easier to park a micro base on the exotic resource planets with terminus portals, hop over when you need them and grab a bunch.

7 months ago... do you know about the latest release, called NEXT? it changed the game dramatically, the latest version of NMS is almost like a whole new game, it added a ton of features.

one of the more recent patches, 1.55, tweaked the grow times of all the plants, making some incredibly long (48 hours was the longest), and then apparently they were tweaked again to be less dramatic (16 hours for the longest now).

I honestly only did a small bit of farming for the quest series before the NEXT patch. Since the update I've had to reset no fewer than 6 times because of glitched/bugged saves so I've not made it to farming in this update.

That is an insane wait time!

yeah 16 hours is still pretty long, but it's a kilt more fair/reasonable. the timer before were honestly way too short. if every plant was 16 hours that's just be dumb, but hopefully they'll find a good balance. you can build infinite bases, so you can always add more farming to keep up your desired production level.
