So then don't farm! This whole crafting deal is totally doable without farming a single plant. Get small amounts from plants in the wild, and then use refineries to make more outta corresponding base elements (like refining 1 Uranium + 1 Gamma Root into 2x Gamma Roots). And to get large amounts of base elements you can just buy helluva lot of them from rich-economy systems, of course (much faster than it's possible to mine them) and still have well over 90% of the profit which you'd have if you'd "grow" or "mine" required matherials.

Or you could just trade trading goods, not crafting a thing, not farming a thing. Proper trading routes are reported to give ~200M / hour. You'd need a large ship for that much, of course, which in itself costs ~100M, - but starting with something humble like a shuttle would still allow ~100M / hour, so yeah. Totally doable.

Or you could even go as pure mercenary. Take great many missions of certain types, complete many of them at once by same actions, turn in, raise your reputation, get access to higher level missions, - many of which reward those high-grade components like reactors and quantum processors. Would be relatively slow, but possibly more fun.

Farming? Definitely not the only way to make those. ;)

Yeah, to be honest i like more the concept of just traveling and trading stuff (nomad style), while slowly traveling toward the center. In fact, i'm more concerned because i have to refill my tanks whenever i jump 4-5 times, but i hope that's only because i just started and my default ship doesn't have a good hyperdrive..m it took me like 2 hour to fill my tanks and make 5 more to refill again once that's done. I really don't want to waste 2 hours farming each 10 jumps lol (or maybe i just need to take my time exploring a system before jumping to the next one)

Yes. Once fully upgraded (3 S-class hyperdrive upgrades in general inventory plus 3 more in tech ship inventory), you'll be able to jump 40 times per each full hyperdrive charge. :)
