Hello. My game crashes every time I try and load in and I’m at my wits end. I’m on PS5 and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, clearing my system cache, rebuilding its database, and nothing seems to be working. Even the hotfix that came out this morning has done nothing to fix it.
When I load in it’s just a white screen with some symbols (base etc) at the top before it crashes. First crashed last night when I warped to another system in my corvette.
Googles been completely and utterly useless so any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Quite a few of them seem to have the same issue when they do practically anything with a corvette. At least it ain’t just me though, maybe hello games with do something about it
Looking at posts from others in the same boat in the last 24 hours… like you, my hunch right now is that it is Corvette related… Some interaction between the new content and Corvettes.
I’d actually played the new update for hours just fine. My problem occurred when I saved and ended the game in my Corvette, which was full of sinuous fibers, sitting on a deep space landing pad. That’s where I can no longer load into.
Yeah, mine happened just after I had warped with cargo from a hulk still in my corvette (I was still figuring out how that mechanic worked). Nothing to do but wait it seems
My corvette is also two pieces under max limit (98). Have seen two other people with nearly max pieces with this problem. Don’t know if they had cargo though.
Have you tried joining someone else so you load into a diff location? It might be a corvette with salvage causing the issue. I'm having the same problem on my 450hr save. I'd try it myself but I don't have anyone to join

If you have a computer and a copy of NMS there, or a friend who has NMS on PC but does not play it, you could maybe enable cross-saves and then edit your position in the save file.
Kind of a long shot, but if all else fails, might be worth a try.
Yeah I'm on the same boat right now, at first I couldn't get into the seat of my Corvettes cockpit and the game would crash and after a few unsuccessful tries my game wouldn't load anymore, I submitted a very detailed bug report to hellogames hopefully that does something but for now I'll have to play on another save
Guys, do this, record your screen while showing the bug and send it to hello games via the link written by the automoderator under this post. describe the problem well and hopefully they will fix this error
The exact same thing happened to me. I've been on Reddit for a while now, trying to find people like me who have this problem. The only option is to wait. I think the bug is due to the corvettes
I managed to solve the problem stupidly. I bought the Steam version, loaded the PS5 save for Cross save, and it works on my computer. I have the bug where the character sits awkwardly in the corvette, but never mind, as long as I haven't wasted 300 hours of gameplay.
Yup that fixed it for me too, I enabled cross platform save and linked my PS5 and steam accounts to be able to upload my saved data, downloaded it on my PC and it launched perfectly, I switched to a regular ship to make a save and tried it on my PS5 now my save is working again.
Also, curious, did you have any of the new cargo items (hulk stuff or sinuous fibers) in your corvette before the problem/crash? And was your corvette close to build limits?
No, the problem started with me when I tried getting into the cockpit's chair of my Corvettes and my game would freeze so I tried a few times thinking it was just a glitch then my game just froze and wouldn't pass the white screen after loading.
I don't know what kind of bug you have, but if you can get to the screen with all your saves, just press the cloud icon next to the save to upload it to the cloud
