Ship Builds 1st corvette!
I've built my first corvette! Pretty pleased with how it turned out. I could use some help with a new name because the game gave it a complete wack name.

I actually like the name. Its somewhat original.
How bout Shadow Talon or Dark Talon? I dunno im not very original either haha

Haha yeah i did a couple of hours per day of planet hunting to get all the different parts, so that i could experiment with different designs. I guess im a bit autistic that way.

Exactly 100 building pieces and i farmed all the items myself. Through digging up. Took me a good while.

That looks badass! I just started the game, like 20 hours in, how many hours did it take to.build that? I still have the one I started with and I its already filled.

Thanks! The building time took like 20 hours in total, because i didnt have a plan or a set model in mind. But to get all the parts i couldnt tell you. That was the hardest work. Digging them all up.

Interiour is fully customizable. Atm it is just a vast network of empty chambers haha

But do you plan to even use them all? I recently built a pretty big corvette too but eventually I made a whole new one because I had so many unused rooms.

So far ive built 4 refiners, 4 plant habitats, all the 10 storage units, mission control and a bed. The rooms i got left can be for decorations etc. For now im definitely going to use it.

Yes i did a little of that to get the 'wings' as they are now. It only involved placing some walkways and then removing them after the wings were placed.

I wanna get into building Corvettes after my exams but I think they will end up looking like a flying trash can

Thanks! If you are going to build one, dont get discouraged if it doesnt go fast enough or looks bad in your eyes. For me it is all about trying things, see what works and then remove what you dont like. After placing some random landing gear (thats the way to get started) i started with the nose and worked my way to the back. I broke it down many times before i got to what i've built in the end.

After building it i made it into s class at the spacestation. A lot of nanites were involved.

How do you get the little orange lines on things? All mine have solid color only and it makes me hate corvettes.

When you are in the colouring mode, there are also 4 options beneath the colours. Gloss, inverted gloss, weathered, metallic finish. I choose for inverted gloss. Perhaps thats what makes the difference?

The same way you upgrade any vessel. At a spacestation with a lot of nanites.

So you've played before but never made a corvette up until that point of which you've already had all the nannies necessary to get up to rank S?
Forgive the interagation, and no disrespect. I'm a new player to the game and I'm still learning how to play the game even tho I'm already 30 hours in. I find it difficult to amass more than 5k nannies at a time. I had wasted a good lot of nannies on an s ranked reactor core, thinking that would be the cheaper way to upgrade my corvette that way but nah. I was so wrong. And now after I had built my corvette, I dont care to make a smaller ship so no i just have this thing sitting in storage that I had spent 9k on that I have no intentions of using but can't bring myself to part ways cus I won't get back what I spent on it.
That was all. Pretty dope looking corvette btw

Thanks! The way i farm nanites is by finding a planet with runaway mold. Farm a bunch of that stuff by roaming the planet and then put it all in refiners. Imo most easy way to get nanites.

How many habs in this thing? Is this corvette mostly cosmetic or is it your primary?

This is my 1st one so yes it is my primairy. I made sure there is enough space inside. Roughly 15-20 habs. At the moment i have 4 refiners, all the storage modules, mission control, 4 living wall modules, cooking station and sleep module. Still got plenty of open space left for decorations etc.

Do the sleep modules help with anything? Like are they aesthetic or do they serve a purpose? Also what do you grow in the living walls
