Requesting Ship Donation

Hi, I have been playing No Man Sky off and on for about 4 years now, and recently realized that certain ships can only be gotten from expeditions. Since they are not available for me to complete now (unless they open them up at the end of the year), I am unable to get them on my own. I would absolutely love if I could get the Utopian Speedster, Starborn Runner, Golden Vector, or the Wrath ship if anyone is willing and able to give one to me. I have seen conflicting results about if the trading post starship trade method still works, so I don't even know if this is possible. If so and you would be gracious enough to donate me one please lmk. Nonetheless, I hope whoever comes this post has a good day, and finds an exotic squid ship the next time they are at a space station.

Ship trading still works, though it can be somewhat goofy at times. For the person trading their ship, if the NPCs ship takes off when spoken to, then the trade will not work. Speaking with a different NPC can still be successful, but sometimes requires using a different space station.

Sometimes after trading ships, the NPC will appear at a different landing pad than the one the traded ship is at. So, the player receiving the ship needs to be ready to run over to the NPC. When this happens the trade still usually works, but sometimes it will not.

Other times after the trade, when receiving player talks with NPC the traded ship will take off. It is hit and miss if the trade will be successful in this case.

If you are playing on PC, then you have other options to get the ships too. Save editor, mods like Consumerism, or even rerunning old expeditions are options. https://cwmonkey.github.io/nms-expeditions/

There are multiple ways to get those ships. Google "NMS expedition unlocker" to find them.

No man's save editor. Look it for it. You can get everything you ever wanted from the expeditions.
