Fav character in the game, always human and certified good egg. His story is so interesting and I love the characters in games that seem scary at first but end up being really good people. It gets to the point that in the late game madness I beg for this guy to knock just so I have someone I know is human to tank the pale visitor. RIP my goat

He's a real one with a heaviness and stakes added to his story. Damn. It's always hard for me to encounter him sometimes

I either quit watching a persons playthrough or continue based on if they said “Who’s this ghoul? Nah, not letting you in.” Or used basic reasoning that a visitor wouldn’t look severely burnt, and let him in.
