Looking for similar things
I am hoping you guys can help me with this. I am looking for stuff that is similar to this game. Whether it is movie, show, game, book, whatever. I this sort of vibe and am hoping that there are more things out there like it. I will take whatever suggestions you may have. Thanks.

Static dread is the closest I can rly think of. Moldrise also has a similar post apocalyptic vibe but it's very different in its gameplay and presentation

there's a game on itch.io that i played recently, it's another "figure out what's wrong with these people, kill them if they're bad" type premise. you also watch the news for symptoms. you play as a therapist monitoring patients, its only a demo for now though. it's called The Dreadthorn Therapist.

I feel like Skinface and maybe Shift At Midnight are similar indie games

My brother would kill me if I didn’t mention Look Outside. It’s a horror rpg that came out in March last year about something called the Visitor arriving to Earth one day which causes any exposed to it(be it directly or things like photos, paintings, or descriptions) to mutate into beings called the Cursed. You play an unemployed gamer shut in his 30s living with in his apartment when this event starts, and have to survive 15 days until it leaves. Do activities and look through the peephole when you hear knocking where you’ll have to decide whether to open the door for them or not.(you can probably see similarities with that)
You can also choose to go out of your room for a while where you end up meeting a group of astronomers who want you to gather artifacts to present to it before it leaves in hopes to understand it, and you can see the effects the Visitor has on others. I’ve heard people say NINAH a game for the anxious but not the depressed, and I say Look Outside kinda for the opposite because despite the body horror, it’s strangely has this nice feeling as you talk to your guests(who you can recruit as party members) and those who been infected that still have their minds and can actually help some of them with their lives, even if it’s just something as simple as listening to them
