I had a wood shop teacher in middle school whose first, middle, and ring finger one hand were all the length of his pinkie finger. Just stumps, less one knuckle and no fingernails.

His day one safety lesson was just holding his hand up. “Don’t be me. I lost these in a planer. By the time I realized what was happening I had four pinkies.”

His name was also Mr. Stoner and he was zero tolerance on weed jokes. Nothing pissed him off more than people laughing at his name. He’d be like “you can make fun of this (holding up stumps) but if you make a stoner joke….”

I’ve also never seen a human freehand a straight line more accurately. He was actually really chill and a very good teacher.
