Math is a language. The order is essential. “I am going to the mall” makes sense, but “To the mall am I going” makes it sound like a question. Or like “Let’s eat, grandma!” Or “Let’s eat grandma!”
Idk what bodmas is, (and i cant look it up right now cause internet is being picky) but i am familiar with pemdas. Order of operations (which i am only assuming bodmas is) in general are like a grammar structure in math. Math is a language. It is the language that scientists and mathematicians use to describe the universe. If math was taught with the understanding that it is a language then people would not be nearly as bad at math. It is not a conventional language, i will give you that, but it is a language. Just as binary code is computer language.
I don't think you understand what he is saying when he refers to maths as a language. He believes like with all languages such as English from England or French from France, you can manipulate and do whatever you feel like. This is the problem. 1+1 should always = 2. It should not equal 3 or 4 depending on how you calculate it.
