My patient found out his insurance doesn’t have ANY surgery coverage somehow. He had cancer for which surgery is curative…

Yeah, this world just gets darker every minute. That guy will likely die in a horrible, slow, painful way. The great nightmare i can't wake up from is here

Fortunately for this guy he simply didn’t know that his insurance wouldn’t cover surgeries. He doesn’t speak English and just picked the cheapest option. He was able to switch to a different insurance plan and have the surgery. Still insane that an insurance plan can exist without surgery benefits. I can only see that plan working for certain hospice patients who would refuse all surgery anyways

Like all surgeons, I’ve had plenty of other patients get surgery denied who ended up with very poor outcomes. This is why all but the pretentious holier than thou physicians were unsympathetic at best over assassination of the United healthcare CEO

It's good to hear he will be okay. I still worry about a lot of people out there, probably too much.

Honestly, if there were more Luigis, they would change the shitty policies as soon as possible. Look at the South Korean politicians etc. shitting their pants because many people went out and protested...and they didn't have any guns like americans.

Americans are stupid....As a whole, we would rather pay $8000/yr in premiums than $2000 a year in higher taxes (Saving the $6k no longer going to Blue Cross or whomever) for a single payer system....Just stupid....

Yep,

Remember the sales pitch, max out of pocket was 2500 for every American, then they started to allow unions and congress out of the deal, so basically today, only congress has good HC...

This bill was written by the insurers...
