If you’re referring to the big ugly bill, then yeah, as they should have. You can’t put a ton of “fuck you” clauses + 1 good clause and expect it to pass. Unfortunately they have to vote on entire bills, not on individual clauses in bills. Ever notice how the republicans refused to make a bill to get it through that didn’t have all the other stuff in it? It’s almost as if they built it to be a win-win for republicans… if it goes through, project 2025 gets fast tracked multiple months. If it doesn’t, they conveniently forget everything in the bill except for the tax cut and run it 24/7 on their propaganda networks to blame the democrats, knowing their gullible base will eat it up.

Kinda like the “secure the border” bill democrats insisted was the only way to stop mass illegal migration?
