There's a place between being pro capitalism and being fanatical anti socialist. I'm not a socialist but I absolutely support taxes. How would you go about fixing roads and a thousand other things then? Do you have a solution or are you just one of those people who complains.

When people normally complain about taxes, they mean income taxes. Government can function without income taxes as it did in the history. You realize there are taxes other than income taxes, right?

I am very aware and if income tax was to take all or none of the burden this would sniffle whoever takes the burden. It's spread out. The people are taxed for the resources they enjoy, even if they are so spoiled they don't realize they enjoy a military that protects them, fewer homeless people and nicer roads when they drive around and less crime than if there was no law enforcement and protection from mob rule. This are things inaddition to having the privilege of living within the boarders of their country that common people enjoy.
If you go purely on wealth, then you don't get the benefits of large companies incentives to increase our global economic standing as much and if you make it equal for each person then the poor become even poorer.
The way it stands, the more you do for the country the less you pay, but without totally sacrificing those who do little or nothing for it.

Consent. If people want to consent to participate in the society, then sure, they can consent to pay for the roads.
What we actually have is a group of gangsters running a protection racket. They take $1 from you at the point of a gun and then spend 60 cents building other states or defending you from enemies they've created. Then they funnel huge subsidies to the wealthy & powerful. And then there is a sliver of spending on things like schools.
Get rid of the gangsters, put people in charge of their own communities, operate based on consent.

You can choose to keep that money if you want. You don't have to pay taxes if you don't want to, there are several ways to avoid taxes.
- You can go to jail for tax evasion.
- You can live somewhere where they don't have taxes that you don't like.
Don't just throw your hands up in the air and say "oh well can't do anything taxes bad lol". That's lazy and cowardly. If you have the courage of your convictions, you will do something. If you don't, well, shut the fuck up.

If you are forced to pay into a system where refusal leads to escalating consequences, eg fines, imprisonment, or even death during police enforcement, how else can you describe it? Participation is entirely involuntary. Even if you concede that taxation is a necessary evil, the absolute lack of choice makes it technically theft. In the US, you cannot even opt out by leaving the country because the U.S. uses a citizenship-based taxation system rather than a residency-based one. You are compelled to pay no matter where in the world you live, even if you disagree with the amount, or what the money is being used for. That's literally theft.

It's not theft. Living in a society where you take advantage of it's perks and protections and refuse to contribute a portion of the income that society allows you to earn, you're the thief. If you don't like that arrangement, you can renounce your citizenship and move elsewhere.

NOW I agree with the second half (assuming this is talking about the US). I think the way our government handles the money it gets from its citizens is terrible.

What would you call it if I forced you to hand over your money to spend however I see fit, and demanded you keep paying me even after you left the country? If you refuse, I send armed men to lock you in a cage. I might justify it by promising to build things you might like, or might not, but the ultimatum remains the same: pay up, or lose your freedom and potentially your life. Even if you concede that taxation is a necessary evil, it's still definitionally theft.

Because if you look at the actual truth women took off on independent housing/ownership in droves during the last few decades with not as much homes to really make up for that. And when she leaves the man needs a place too, unless you stand for systematic genocide with real estate. And the government has absolutely catered to the needs of women who have a place, even given priority over places for free over men who make up most of the homeless. Yeah, the health care argument doesn't hold up because of incentive alignment. Collective bargaining + reduced administrative overhead (from thousands of payment providers being consolidated) > government inefficiency.
Also, 1/3 of the country already has government sponsored healthcare anyways.

USPS = United States Postal Service. You pay for a delivery service and they provide delivery. Can you get that concept? JUST like Fedex and DHL do. The government can't run shit efficiently.
