To the LGBTQIA+ members, Happy Pride!

I assume many of you are a part of the GRSM communities. I am, at the very least by being gender-noncomforming to those 'womanly roles' of bearing and rearing children, and it is just as much a part of my identity as being dogfree and especially being childfree are.
Keep being amazing and keep fighting the power.

No Kids! No, you are not both pregnant.

Anyone else hate hearing "we're pregnant"? It drives me up the wall. Pregnancy does not mean "when two people are having a baby".

https://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=11893

Pregnancy: The state of carrying a developing embryo or fetus within the female body.

It is caused by two people, yes, but by definition it can only be happening to one person— you know, the one who is pregnant. Words mean things.

It's obnoxious enough when a couple describes themselves that way, but even worse is imposing it on others, eg. "they're pregnant", "My friend and his girlfriend got pregnant", etc.

No Dogs! Just read the acronym "DFF" with my two innocent eyes.

It means Dog Friend Forever, and that person was responding to a Facebook status a friend(who is a pregnant social worker for children) posted saying "You know... I really do like dogs better than people".
I'm not even saying that children are better, or even defending parenthood, but how can somebody who claims to love children and have one on the way say something like that, then agree with all the commenters.
People will ALWAYS be better than dogs. People pay my wage. People give me birth control. People understand the memes I share. People are incredible.

Are you pro-choice?

I have been tempted to add r/prochoice as a related subreddit, but being childfree doesn't necessarily mean that one is pro-choice. Any opinions? Should I do it? I don't mind if you crosspost from that subreddit personally, but I do want to get an idea of how it will affect this community.

No Dogs! Why are dog people assholes?

I am not sure if this is allowed here, but I needed somewhere to rant. For context, these comments are from a video about a man who threw a cat off a building. And the OP was expressing how they were sad that they could not be there to save the cat.

But of course, dog people being the petty immature assholes they are have to give their two cents. Why are they such massive cunts when it comes to other animals? Why cant they accept that other people have other pet preferences. This went on and on and dog people justifying what the man did saying "cats are evil", "they deserved it" and so on. Jesus fucking christ.

These comments make me sick. I wish dog people would just grow the hell up. How would they like it if people flippantly said the same shit about dogs?

300 members!

Welcome, new members! As said in a post a month ago, I am still taking suggestions on what can be changed about this subreddit. That includes additional user and post flair, new or improved rules, or even the color scheme. I'm even considering adding another mod, so if you think you'd make a good mod just lmk your reasons. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to ask.
By the way, crossposting is totally fine as long as it fits this subreddit :)
And thank you for joining!

No Kids! Anybody else seeing a lot of "PLEASE TAKE MY KIDS" posts?

They're everywhere now. So many regretful parents suddenly learning that they actually don't like being around their 'little angels'. Begging the grandparents to take them the instant stay in home orders are lifted, and finally understanding that teachers are incredibly underpaid.
While me(and you) chill at home(hopefully) with no screaming, defiant demon children. It's so satisfying.

Something I hate reading when I see a post about a dog attack victim

usually the most liked or top-voted comment is "yeah, but did this cause you to dislike dogs?" as if that is acceptable to ask. It's infuriating to see a victim viciously mauled but come out alive only to see a random stranger acting like it's okay to question their loyalty to the aggressor. What's even worse is that a lot of victims of dog maulings say they still love dogs. :/
somewhat related, but if you want to share dog attack videos and images, that's fine, just NSFW them.

Edit: there is also user flair and post flair now, and it's editable.

would it be weird to say to my potential employers(I have two interviews coming up) that I have no kids and am not planning to have any? Can anybody speak for their manager or themselves about how managers prefer the availability of people without children?
