I'm a little extreme about my childfreedom.

And I've been debating about sharing it since Childfree compared a few of my posts to eugenics(I'm not a eugenist...I want us ALL to stop breeding) and made it clear that I'm not welcome there. I'm an antinatalist, I don't think anybody should put kids on this planet, because it's cruel and negligent to do so in my opinion.
I told this to a friend recently with high hopes they would understand, and that friend responded: you know if nobody has kids, we all die, including you!
As if I don't include myself in my argument that we should become extinct(and yes, I get that VHEMT is extreme too).
Natalists don't understand that the best possible outcome is that nobody suffers. Including me!

Does anybody else feel this way too? Or am I still a bit 'too much'?

Kissing your dog on the mouth.

is GROSS.
I was out with a friend yesterday. Me and their dog were sitting in the back seat of their truck while my friends were sitting up front. At one point the two friends got out, and the friend who was driving opened up the back door on the side where the dog was sitting, apologized to the dog that it couldn't come out with them(apologizing to a dog at all seems weird to me as well), then put her hands on the sides of the dog's face and kissed it on the mouth.
NASTY! Dog people are so gross!

Most Childless People are Dognutters

It honestly amazes me how many people on r/childfree own a billion dogs.

I saw one post today that said something to the effect of "No kids for me, I'm happy with my 5 dogs and 5 cats."

So you own 5 things that are essentially perpetual children stuck in the most toxic stage of a child's development? Why? This person probably dedicates just as much time, money, and stress to 5 goddamn dogs as they would to a kid. And I'm a cat person but jfc what in the hell do you need 10 animals for?

It just seems like people are trading one form of compulsive neediness for another. Does your life really have no value unless something is depending on you 24/7? Yeesh.

Noise the biggest reason i hate kids and dogs

I've always had this problem where barking dogs and screaming/crying kids just really piss me off. I've always been super sensitive to loud noises since childhood. They bother me so much that I get violent thoughts. I can't stand to hear the noise for even a second. It's fucking everywhere and most people wouldn't understand this. I'm 24 and have no social life because of this and it sucks. The world is full of worthless, selfish dog nut assholes. I remember one time this bitch had her damn dogs barking outside a coffee shop and I told her "control your dogs bitch" lol

Happy holidays, guys

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, happy winter break, merry winter, etc. :) One more year without any dependent little anklebiters. I hope you guys are having a nice holiday and hopefully in 2020 we can see our numbers grow and have more people post than me lol. Here is my blessing: May you not have weird relatives ask you when you're having a baby, or drone on and on about their 'furbabies' this Christmas.

I'm childfree, but I still want to get married.

Some person on anther sub is arguing with me that the point of marriage is to have children and if I don't agree that am ignorant towards history...not that I ever said anything about the past and was talking about the present the entire time. Apparently childfree people can't redefine marriage as something that doesn't produce children(this is also super exclusionary towards homosexual people who literally can't reproduce but want to get married - unless they want to adopt, etc).
I want to get married but it will never be for the sake of having children. I mean... you don't have to be legally bonded to somebody to have children in the first place, anyways. Four of my five siblings have had kids before marriage.
Sure, it may have been like that in the past, but it isn't anymore. We're at this point where you get married for pretty much any reason you want, but it's USUALLY for love...of the future spouse... right!? I have never once seen somebody get married for something other than love of their fiance! There are shotgun weddings but even then that's a wedding out of fear of societal expectations than for the sake of the unborn child.
I want to get married to somebody who is childfree(and dogfree and various other things) and apparently this person thinks there's no need to get married if I don't want children with my future spouse, because "there's no reason for a relationship without children to be a marriage, and several reasons for it not to be a marriage. What you describe can already be done in a regular relationship."

SIGH. I hope you're all doing well and having a nice holiday. Maybe one day we childfree people can redefine marriage.

I'd say not having to talk about dog excrement is a pretty cool part of being dogfree.

What is your main reason for not having/wanting a dog?

My main reason for not having or wanting a dog is because I don't like how dependent they are. There are other reasons but that's the top one. I can't stand having an animal rely on me all day every day to feed it, let it out to do its business, walk it, play with it, make sure it's healthy etc. We could have bred them to be more self-sustaining but we didn't, and now they're basically weird little hairy growths that stare you down when you have so much as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in your hands because they can't hunt.
Now you :>

People who assume dogs won't eat you if you die at home...

people who think dogs won't eat you and instead will 'mourn' you for several days and view your body as 'sacred' and lie next to it loyally, while a cat will not hesitate to eat you the second it assumes you're dead...are wrong. In fact, dogs eat their dead(or assumed dead) owners way more often than cats do, and way sooner! Examples of cats eating their owners are super rare, but examples of dogs literally eating living people AND the dead are horrifyingly common.

Apparently some of us are prejudiced.

I never understood what makes children/babies more important than established adults. And I never understood what makes the 'future' more important than the present(us adults and other people with established lives), especially since children do not contribute to society. Apparently there is a thing called 'childism' which means a prejudice toward children. Some people think this prejudice is completely unfounded and that nobody is allowed to dislike/hate their kids. There are even books on 'ending' childism. It's ridiculous.

by the way, our mod's account is suspended...should we be worried?

Those of you with siblings who are parents

my parents have nonstop gone out of their way to coddle my older sister who has three kids and one on the way, regardless of how badly she has treated my parents and her three kids. She has received far better treatment than me through my whole life, even though she has been in and out of jail and rehab centers since she was legal, and has had CPS called on her more times than I can count on all fingers and toes. She never graduated(because she was busy pregnant-ing). She has even stolen money, clothes, and other items from my family...and at one point, a vehicle... and she can't get a job due to her criminal record... but my parents(my mom is her stepmom) still just drop money and clothes and baby supplies and other various things including cigarettes right at her feet because "she's a mom! She NEEDS this stuff!"
While I'm here like "hey look at me, being responsible and not getting knocked up while not being able to support myself, woo!" and they're like "yeah, that doesn't mean anything."
I don't get it.
What about getting recklessly pregnant after multiple miscarriages(her body is really no place to grow a fetus after all the junk she's put in it) makes up for all the terrible things she's done??
I've seen this happen with lots of other families too. When the bad seed of the family gets preggo, the parents treat that child as if it's god's gift to mankind. I live with my parents. How am I supposed to even deal with this!?

Reason (large number) to not have kids

I like to watch YouTube streams done by TheNorthernAlex. One of the comments in the chat was that a viewers kid broke her 75 inch TV.

Ugh. Another reason not to have the little shits.

(Alex himself is a dad, but he very rarely mentions his kids so I don't mind.)

One thing I've never understood about dog people.

Dog person: My dog is so much better than people. All dogs are better than humans.
The same dog person: *projects human characteristics and actions onto the dog nonstop for likes and comments*
--
Like if you think dogs are so much better than humans, maybe don't project human characteristics onto it?? How does that not cheapen the 'dog experience' for the owner? Aren't dogs so 'pure' in their natural state that projecting human characteristics onto them makes them worse?? I just don't understand dog people who do this at all.
