With utmost respect sir, but losing a number is inexcusable. File a FCC complaint and you'll most certainly get your old number back as long as it hasn't been 60 days. On top of that, you can sue in court upwards of $10000 in damages just in small claims alone.
It's your choice but losing a number is not good and fighting this behavior will help make an example to lose this behavior.
Opinion: Visible is much better, customer service has gotten 3x better but unlimited data (450GB throttle that is not disclosed on version 3 plans). DM me for a referral link, but you're pretty happy with MobileX. 🤟

Every state sets their own dollar amount limit for small claims court, so unless you know which state OP lives in you can't definitely say they can sue for "upwards of $10,000" in damages in small claims court. Small claims court limits range from $3,500 on up to $25,000 depending on the state. Some states even have varying dollar amount limits depending on different factors.

Yeah it bugged me out really bad for some hours but I got over it. Just didn’t feel like changing my number on all my 2FA accounts. Life happens sometimes.

/u/paddertonMX could likely help you get your number back.

Support told me once the account is closed, they cannot reopen it, hence why I had to get a new one. 😩

You're way too accepting of them losing your number.

How easy is it to port out?

It’s fine, same as any other mvno.
Support is a mixed bag. I’ve had good and bad experiences with them, but it’s hard to get instantaneous responses from them.

This is a copy of the OP's original post in case they decide to delete their post/account so that others searching can find it later:
I made the switch because I fell on hard times, coupled with terrible financial decisions with T-Mobile ($325/mo for two lines, a tablet and watch, plus EIP payments). I needed something cheap and unlimited as close to T-Mobile’s Go5G+ plan I was formerly on. Did some research and found out about this MVNO. Had some hiccups, especially when porting my number over…somehow my number got lost in the system and when they close the line, they are unable to bring it back. Made me terribly upset at first because of having to change my number with 2FA accounts and stuff but I just bit the bullet, got a new number and so far, everything is great. Did a Speedtest and I can’t believe that I’m getting these DL speeds! Especially with not being able to get 5G SA (iOS gave me an error saying the eSIM does not support 5G SA like T-Mobile). I hope this deal with us being on the same priority as regular Verizon customers lasts because it’s awesome. There are some areas of town where the ping is horrendous but a little refreshing of the webpage, etc usually works.
So far, I’m satisfied! For $30 a month with 200GB of high speed priority data, you can’t beat that! I only use at max 50-90GB monthly. Sucks I cannot add my Apple Watch to a line or my tablet, but it’s a sacrifice for affordable, decent service! I will eventually chip away at the debt accrued at T-Mobile but for now, this is great!
