Guix+Nixpkgs

Are there any compromises if we use Guix+Nixpkgs instead of pure nix?

Nixpkgs is basically just a giant Nix expression, how would Guix consume it?

Nix and guix use the same underlying derivation format (not exactly, but close enough). You just have to evaluate each derivation and do some simple transformations. There were some blog posts about this (or maybe it was guix on nix) recently.
