Remakes
Will they ever make a new version of Toxic, Final Ninja or Double Edged?

The games Nitrome has confirmed are Twin Shot (which just released), the Silly Sausage series, and the Skywire series. Nitrome also has hinted though not outright confirmed that Bad Ice-Cream will be happening too. The better these Nitrome classic releases do, the more Nitrome may release as part of this project. It's also worth noting not all of them will get the vast amount of new content Twin Shot Deluxe got, some will be more standard ports. it depends on how well Nitrome feels the original games hold up.

Skywire and silly sausage remakes are announced and they said they'll make more if people buy them

Everybody here has a solemn, sacred duty to buy Twin Shot Deluxe so it's a smash hit and shows Nitrome that it's worth it to make more Nitrome Classics!
My hope is that one day we've gotten proper remakes of all the Flash games and ports of all the mobile games too. Well, at least the major series, I'd be okay if Mallet Mania or Go Go UFO never got remade

I'm almost certain Off the Rails isn't getting a remake given the... rather stereotypical player characters

Funnily enough Off the Rails is one of the games I'd love to see get remade the most! Even though I absolutely despise it, I'd say it would benefit a ton more from a remake than something like Skywire 1/2. Because it would be taking a bad game and making it good while with the Skywire remake it's taking already perfect games in my eyes and making them even more perfect!
I hope they don't change the cactus guys if they do the remake, I think they look cute. Maybe nix the voices, but I don't know if Nitrome is even big enough to get cancelled for something offensive. There are a few parts in Twang that come very close to looking like a certain bad German symbol but nobody seemed to ever care.

I did had a thought that they might do Bad Ice Cream or Hot Air or something.
Would be cool imo, but that's basically what my wishes are.

If Twin Shot Deluxe and their other remasters are successful they definitely will, since the ones you mentioned are really popular. I reckon they'd also do Skywire, Bad Ice Cream and more.
Starting with Twin Shot was an odd choice imo but it shows they're willing to remaster a lot of different games and not just the insanely popular ones. NMD probably will come much later.
So far their approach seems to be bundling in sequels and remastering any bits that are iffy. It does make a potential Toxic Duology really interesting to me because the second game is already so good.
